i was reading the "nice guys finish last" thread and it brought a question to mind. where does a nice guy meet a nice girl? now that i'm out of college it's hard for me to meet women that i've common interests with. i'm not really interested in going bars to meet women because i don't like bars and wouldn't really be interested in meeting a woman who does go to basr all the time... aslo i've met nice girls at the mall or book stores, etc., but they're always at work... i think it'd be really tacky to ask a girl out while she's working... maybe i'm too old fashioned when it comes to things like that... so any suggestions? how / where do i meet a nice girl?

I meet my current b/f while standing in line a McDonald's of all places. We started talking about a t-shirt that he was wearing and well that was 5mths ago. All I can suggest is don't be afraid to appoach and start up a conversation, you never know where it might lead. Good luck.

statistically, school, work, church are 3 most likely places to meet a spouse. So keep your eyes peeled.
If you don't like bars, but want to meet eligible women, take a class ( cooking, dance, anthrolpology, it doesn't matter- but not auto mechanics), join a mixed sports league( softball, darts, bowling...). Like to read? Hang out at the coffee bar at your local Barnes and Noble.
Got friends with wifes/gfs- let them set you up on blind double dates.
Just a few ideas.
Try a Lit personal.

seems i've been eating at the wrong places... i go to wendy's and arby's... and the drive thru at that! i need to go inside a mcdonalds, eh? seriously though... thanks for the replies. the coffee shop idea sounds good... i used to do that a lot back in college... but never thought to talk to a lady while there... who knew 
.... so here's a story for you guys. i went to buy some shoes today and was helped by a very attractive lady. i was so bold as to make small talk with her (woohoo! yay me!) but then i realized when she spoke to a co woker of hers that there was a VERY strong possibility that she was in highschool... and though i'm 22 and back in my high school days i knew girls who dated 25 year olds, i decided not to pursue her any further. (i'm a high school teacher!)

I have also met a couple nice guys at the YMCA. You don't have the attitude of the big gyms there.
