How do I ensure I get Lit thread notifications?

I have several threads I'm subscribed to, but I get no email notifications for them.
I check my Spam folder, and they're not there, either.

I've looked through my user control panel, but can't find anything that would indicate that I've opted out of email notifications.

Is there something I've missed? Or am I just being obtuse?

You are being obtuse.

Not really, but you are expecting more than is available.

Updates aren't something that get help for more than let's say a 24 hour period. I don't know exactly where the cutoff is, because it seems variant somehow. One variant might have to do with when you last signed in. If you sign in, it considers you viewed all subscribed threads, even if you didn't and resets to posting anything new from that sign in forward as being "latest posts." Updates are also not streaming. If you log in and open your CP (control panel), you will see the latest updates for those threads.

While you are logged in, if there are further updates, it will not refresh and post those updates unless you refresh your browser. Thus, those updates are also not being brought to your attention, and if you logged out and didn't check for updates prior to logging out, then all updates while you were logged in get reset to anything new from the time you logged out.

Simply click "View all Subscribed Threads" in the bottom right corner, and you'll see all the threads you have subscribed to and when it was updated last.

Note: updates for threads don't provide e-mail notifications.

When you requested the subscription there were choices about notification.

So now if you want email notification you'll have to go the thread, click "Thread tools" and "unsubscribe", then click "subscribe" again, only this time click the drop down menu to ask for email notification. You can choose instant email notification, daily or weekly email notification. Of course, as you now know, you can also choose no notification.

Really? Hmph. I thought e-mail notifications was only for private messages and stuff from admins. I'm sure I clicked that as being okay...

What you just referred to is in the profile/options area of the CP. Or you can go through the options and click the "subscribe to every thread you post in" (or whatever it's called), I don't think it's a default setting though.

The subscribe and email notification for an individual thread is in the thread tools.

Thanks, all. I'll try your suggestions.

However, as an example of what I'm talking about I did go to thread tools and click "instant email notification"; however, I received no notification of any of these replies.

Maybe unsubscribing and re-subscribing will work, but since this thread was a new subscription, I have my reservations...
