It was an old school time nickname that no one had used for more than 50 years. I have told the story of how I acquired that nickname before.
I wanted a name that was unique and had no obvious implications. Only much later did I establish it as Og, King of Bashan.
Around here, mine would mean just hanging around
aka killin-time lol
yep. I thought about using killin time but that seemed violent
lol...you should've, then tell those others to vest up. hahah
nah... shoot them all
text style hahah
It's a good thing I'm lazy.
Origin of Lit Name: Many years ago I was at a boarding school while my parents were abroad. I didn't get much post because airmail was expensive and erratic. I decided to fill in a coupon in a book of Royal Mail stamps that offered a free weekly course about the Roman Catholic Church. I wasn't Catholic but I visited Spain, a Catholic country, frequently. I thought that 1. I would get post once a week, and 2. I would learn something about Catholics.
But I made a basic mistake. Every item of clothing, all my books and other possessions were labelled with my school number which was 099. I thought it was like a postcode as well, so I included it in my address for the weekly envelopes.
They sent the envelopes labelled (real surname)-Ogg. My housemaster, who distributed any mail after the evening meal, was also the Classics Master. After the first envelope arrived addressed to -Ogg, he referred to me as Og, Rex Bashan (King Og of Bashan). My classmates began calling me oggbashan (2 'g's because of the number 099). That nickname stuck for the rest of my time at that school.
When my parents returned to the UK I left the boarding school and went to a day school near home. When I needed a nom-de-plume for writing erotica, I decided to use oggbashan because no one I currently knew had known of that ancient nickname.
Fag-Ash_Lil, another of oggbashan's alts, is a character in Jeanne's story Unatit. Fag-Ash will do anything for cigarettes...
Og wanted a female nom-de-plume to experiment with writing from a female POV (point-of-view).
Jeanne D'Arc was taken in many versions and she is a saint, far too religious for someone writing erotica so I looked around for other Jeannes.
Jeanne D'Artois was a very different Jeanne. She was a noblewoman and an evil witch, convicted of multiple murders and condemned to death. However she disappeared from the death cell during the night before she was to be executed, despite the door being guarded by several armed guards and there was no sign of any other way out of the castle's dungeon. After all, she was a witch!
I thought than Jeanne D'Artois was a much more suitable name for an author of erotica. She, and her adult daughter, were supposed to have seduced many noblemen into becoming traitors to their rulers. How? Witchcraft was assumed because Jeanne was old for her era, too old to seduce any man by sex appeal.

I was having a rough time and I do what I always do. Just keep moving and try harder. So I thought try harder. I will not even discuss adding the 62.
