I would have answered Nicole's question on the other thread, but I'm sure not everyone is following it...and some may be interested in hearing how the interview went.
A little background...I left my position at the very well known Culligan Water Company in November of 1999. It turned out to not be what I wanted, AND I went back to school to finish my second degree.
Then, I started working temporary in April...just to give me something to do, and some extra money until the end of the term.
On June 12, I interviewed with a CPA firm. At the time, they didn't have any openings, but were impressed enough with my resume to want to meet with me anyways. At the time, I was upset, because I REALLY wanted this job. I continued to work temporary, but kept calling the firm.
Well, on July 21, he called me back telling me that the controller (the lead accountant) wanted to meet with me. I tried not to get TOO excited...a meeting is a meeting...and there were no real promises made.
I went in on Thursday and spoke to the controller, the HR person I had interviewed with previously, and a very nice woman who I "would be working with". They were all very nice, energetic, and enthusiastic about having me work there. I was STILL trying not to get my hopes up...I didn't want to be disappointed.
Yesterday, at approximately 12:00 Central time (heehee) I was offered a position in the company, which I accepted on the spot!!! WOO-HOO!!! I am so happy. I feel like this is the beginning of good things to come my way. (I HOPE!!!)
I know, I know...I'm not a good story teller...which is why I've given up any hopes of writing my erotic thriller...*shrugs*
