How damaged is American intelligence?

Of course. You're British, living in a country that isn't nearly what it used to be. So am I, but not for as long or as deeply so.
When an American private can leak more sensitive information than a senior British officer would have access to, you have to wonder about American handling of sensitive data obtained from its allies.

The Mar-A-Lago discoveries don't imbue any intelligence community with trust in American data handling either.

Yes, there have been leaks from British Intelligence too, but the Americans seem to fuck up big time.

As for how and what I know? I'm not going to say anything because of the Official Secrets Act except that I used to have a very high-security clearance, but not as high, apparently, as an American private.

I always thought that the DOJ and FBI were not allowed to discuss ongoing investigations. I guess if it implicates Trump, well then, let's make sure he's guilty till proven innocent, guilty in the court of public opinion and while we're at and for the sake of increased sales let's harm relationships with other countries.
Of course it’s a problem when the FBI fails to control top secret information. The efforts by TDS sufferers to defend FBI officials that leak top secret information are ridiculous.

There should be a policy at every newspaper and news channel.

"You can be an unnamed source so long as what you tell us is 100% true. The instant you tell us a lie and we publish your full name and your job title."

I'm actually a little sick of people publishing things that later turn out to be half truths based off of unnamed sources that may not actually even exist.

The problem is you are so obsessed with Trump‘s bad behavior that you unable to acknowledge bad behavior by the nation’s top law enforcement agency entrusted with top secret national intelligence.
The problem is that you can't even acknowledge his bad behavior. I've commented about the FBIs behavior on threads that were relevant. Our allies will be withholding intelligence because of 45:s behavior. They know doing so many lead to exposure of their intelligence assets to avdersaries to any visitor to his golf club

I’ve repeatedly said Trump mishandled classified information. Thanks for finally acknowledging the FBI’s failure to control leaks regarding classified information in its possession. It only took 18 days from the time their document seizure at Mar a Lago before a description of content was leaked and splashed the front page of The Washington Post. I’m sure we can both agree that Garland and Wray need to get their shit together and fix their security and document control processes.

Revelation/exposure of assets is far worse than anonymous sources randomly commenting on an investigation. And that is what the thread is about. Now go make a thread complaining about leaks so you can actually stay on topic.

Lol. The existence of the assets were revealed to the world by FBI insiders vis WaPo. Again, thanks for finally sucking it up and admitting the DOJ. failure.

If Trump were posting here Butters & Friends would hound him constantly.

Anti-Americans always attack the ones who chase …and achieve… the American Dream.
What has Trump's security breaches to do with the American Dream?

What has Trump's security breaches to do with the American Dream?

Everything Trump does is attacked.

“Security Breaches” is just the latest.

The reason nothing ever sticks is because it’s not a crime to be disliked by jealous wannabes.

The Clintons had to put up with the same thing. Hillary Hate was always just gender-based hate because she succeeded.

Obama Hate, because he was black and successful.

Americans Worship Winners.

Then they Hate them.

The Washington Post has once again claimed that the FBI discovered nuclear documents during the raid on Mar-a-Lago last month, this time citing some definitely credible, but anonymous "people familiar with the matter."

The WaPo report said a super "top-secret" document describing "a foreign government's military defenses, including its nuclear capabilities," was found in the Mar-a-Lago search, but did not identify the source or the alleged foreign government, nor did it say whether or not the alleged foreign government is friend or foe to the United States.

"The nexus between the security agencies and the corporate media is now so obvious," Matt stated. "This is a classic FBI playbook. I mean, they were doing this to Martin Luther King a generation ago. But now ... you can actually watch the arc of the story, where there's this outrageous claim made with unnamed sources and then two weeks later, 'No, never mind.' ... This is an old tactic, but now people don't believe anything that the corporate media says and they don't believe anything that the FBI says."

"This is a major issue," added Jonathan. "In fact, we've done some polling on this issue, and the raid on Mar-a-Lago moved independents, more than anything we've seen, to the right."

Yeah! It's totally unreasonable to hold a twice impeached conman accountable for national security breaches in the court of public opinion. /s

Innocent until proven guilty.

So far…. Lots of attacks, no finding of guilt.

STFU, miles.

The lil fella doesn't care about American politics. He's just a contrarian troll and this is the opposite position to take. The best part is watching him debase hisself while doing it.

You're just knee-jerking the recliner "experts" easy blather.

Bullshit. The poor handling of sensitive data is a problem for the US (and the UK).

What was found at Mar-A-Lago should worry any person engaged in dealing with secret documents even if there is no evidence that enemy agents got access.

Trump and co was bashing the FBI, saying the 'raid' was illegitimate. Trump supporters vilify the FBI, stirring their supporters to commit acts of violence against government agents. They demanded to see the warrant - done. They asked to see the affidavit - done. Then they challenge the redacted info on the affidavit.

Fuck those guys in blue, right Trumpers? You gotta believe everything Trump says, right? He won the election, right? He had the biggest crowd ever at his inauguration, right? "Alternative facts" are the real truth, right?

An FBI "leak" that says nothing about "who," has no actionable details about "what," or "where" ain't much of a leak now is it? But it just may have brought a touch of reality and maybe some doubt to the deplorables who were ready to go to civil-war against the United States in defense of their liar-in-chief.

I just have one question does Trump know where the book of secrets is?

All I know is the intelligence of Republicans is at retard level. So that really damages the average American intelligence.
