So I noticed that we need to change some dialogues and plot for continuing the sequel else the continuity is lost.
How can I retroactively change the previous story before publishing the new one.

Also since we dont need to have part 1,part 2 etc to be part of the series. Shall I change the title also while retaining the ratings and bookmarks?

Submit your revised text with the same title plus the word EDIT. Add a note to the site editor, saying what you're doing. Edits are low priority, so it might take over a week to process.

If you change the title, that might be processed as a separate story, so I wouldn't do that.

Here's my suggestion, which is in the minority on this site:

Completely finish the story before submitting any part of it. Too much can change as the story unfolds, and as you are now learning, going back to correct earlier posts can be problematic. Patience pays dividends.

This is my tack. I learned fairly quickly that uploading a segment of a multi-part series without the following material fully-fleshed can back you into a corner.

I found that "rich" characters tend to take the story in directions you may not have anticipated at the beginning.

Unfortunately lot of times we need to know if people like the story to continue it....What if you write a 50 chapter series and then you get 1* from all the readers?

I want to resubmit some stand alone stories i published in the celeb section into one flowing narrative in the novels section whilst keeping those already published stories in the celeb section. Is this allowed?

I wish I'd heeded this advice before submitting -- exactly what you've warned about has happened to me.

I'm guessing this is not an issue for some writers, who write serialized stories.
