I'm not one to usually rock the boat or anything but where are the stories with two black people falling in love? Every time I come on this site one of the few types of stories are mostly posted. White guy who suddenly realize he likes a sista / Black girl who comes from some depressing background but is strong until she meets said white man , thug out black man/ innocence white girl who becomes a black dick addict, or the all time favorite white guy who is in better off in life but has some form of domination issues/ black girl who is meek. Now I'm not saying people who are into these types of stories are bad, I'm just wondering where are the stories with black and women have relationships and doing everyday things that normal couples do? Where is a story about a black guys who works a normal 9-5 job but have all these sexual adventures with a normal black girl who is not a stereo typical black girl that the media seems to show? Or a normal black man taming a black girl who has never been out whatever neighbourhood she grew up in and shows her who is in charge? What about a story of a black girl who married a white man only to find out she doesn't love him and she meets a black man who she falls for?

They're are a lot more of them floating around than you think. Really the "problem" (I use the term loosely) is that white is the default in America. Couple that with the fact that two minorities don't rate a category and there are lots of stories about black couples that you won't find because when I write a story with a black guy meeting a black girl that doesn't go in the discription because their race doesn't matter to me in particular.

I would imagine they would be found in erotic couplings?

If they're both black interracial doesn't fit.

I think the reason not a lot of people write them is it is missing a specific taboo or kink to play up to.

They're kinda found everywhere. A good chunk of my characters are black or Latino but I only use interracial if that's the POINT of the story. If some black chick is getting anal from her boyfriend in an environment where nobody bats and eye at them being different races and neither of them think enough of it to mention it then it's not an interracial story (in my mind). There are probably tons and tons of stories that since they lack a kink as you put it simply aren't labeled.

That's probably part of it, but I would guess that the predominant factor is the relative dearth of black authors on Lit. If there were more black authors there would probably be more BF/BM stories. I write stories with black men or black women, but I would not attempt a story featuring both. I don't believe that I could effectively or authentically pull it off. My stories most often feature Hispanic characters because that is what I know best.

Don't sell yourself short

I have a paid piece out there written from the POV of a Black Dominatrix who grew up in the rural south.

It was edited by a lit member who happens to be a "woman of color" so to speak and she said if she didn't already know I was a middle aged white guy she'd swear it was written by a black woman.

Of course the fact I grew up in the poorest part of RI which at the time was a predominantly black neighborhood may have helped in someway, but I think if you can put your mind to it you can nail it.

Well there is to some extent the fact that people are largely influenced by where they live. I might be black but I didn't grow up in the ghetto, nobody in my immediate family did. . .we won't get into why I don't get along as well as I might with some of my cousins other than to say I would have understood if Carlton had decided to run will over with a Mercedes (no, I'm not rich.) but again.

I'm curious how underrepresented blacks authors actually are on Lit vs how many of us simply don't advertise it. I bring it up when it's relevant to the conversation but otherwise I don't bring it up. I know there is/was an author named SamuelX floating around who did nothing but make a big deal about it. (Maybe I just read the wrong stories but I kinda thought he sucked too but that's another issue.) I'm curious what the approximate breakdown is knowing that there is no way to look it up.

There is an author blackstallion who pops up here from time to tme that had an excellent thread about being disgusted with how black men are routinely portrayed in the stories here.

Of course his name sort of went with that stereotype:confused:

But seriously he seemed like a pretty decent guy and his stories were more of a romantic interracial setting rather than the black cock whore, black guy demeaning white wives type of thing that infests these stories.

Samuel X is a pure flame artist in his stories he writes with a lot of racist attitude and it shows in the worst scores I have ever seen here.

But credit where it is due, the man does not give a fuck, he's pushing 2000 stories right now.

Blacks are depending on how sensitive you feel like being portrayed badly by the media as a whole. All most of all of us are the gangster friend it's just usually played up as a positive. Now you have a guy who can walk in the areas where the cops don't go and people respect him. How many times has this exchange happened?

*Our heroes are being chased by cops, gang members, monsters, cold weather.*

White guy: Hey can you hot wire a car and get us out of here?
Black guy: What makes you think I can hot wire a car?
White guy: *blink* Sorry.
Black guy: I can hot wire a car, I'm just hurt you think I can.

In porn we all have big dicks, are sexual deviants who just want to get da white women. And when we aren't the entire point is to show how special we are by virtue of not being sterotypical. I stopped being annoyed by it long ago but I see how others still are.

Yeah, Sammy is a douche, a prolific douche. Oh to live in a world where I'm never expected to answer for a Sammy X kind of person by virtue of having shared some ancestors a ways back.
