Houston, Tx Rollcall

I dont recall ever seeing this thread...

I lived in Houston many years ago and absolutely loved it there...Well minus Hurricane Ike and Hurricane Rita...:D

But yeah, it was fun living there...:rose:

I didn't know this thread was still alive!!!

Well, apparently I resurrected it, because I missed my friends from Houston. A long long time ago, I got invited to a Houston LitTogether and became an adopted Houstonite.

And I miss them, terribly. I was hoping to find them again when I came back to Lit about a month ago. I actually found a few of my old friends. Made a couple of new ones too. So, I hope I didn't get your hopes up too high for naught.

Hello all...North Houston male here, just enjoying this cooler weather and trying to stay calm and sane during this crazy time.

Holy crap on a cracker - Someplace????

As in Bluesy Someplace??? as in the Someplace that I met like 18 freakin' years ago at the Houston Meet up???

Mic freakin' drop???

I had to get a new moniker because for some reason I can't get back into my original Imi name which really bites the big one.

Do I really have the same lovely, amazing, welcoming person I knew back then??
Hey Imi! I was shocked to discover my log-in still works. Didn't we have a lot of fun back then?

Sadly, FunGuy passed away a couple of years ago (cancer) and we lost Bluesboy last November from covid. It has been so so much harder to deal with his loss than I'd ever imagined.

We sure did. Lit was a very different place. So glad I took you up on your invitation to join the Lit together. Do you know I haven't been back to Houston since? I have no idea why it's not a location in the conference circuit. San Anton is, but not Houston.

So very sorry to hear about Bluesy. *hugs* He was in your life for such a long time. We'll catch up later? I just got back from a long weekend away...

Is there a chance to resurrect the thread? *Cue lightning. "It's alive! It's alive!" Late 40s west/NW burbs here. Good morning all!

I think it is past time to breath some life back into this thread. Houston peeps know how to have fun.

Living in League City for the past four years. Previously in Sugar Land for 20 years. The way the weather has been this summer, I almost miss the freeze of 2021.

Beholder -- I've got some friends of Bluebie's I'm now friends with. They're both in Dallas and huge Rangers fans. They both post about the Rangers ALL. THE. TIME. I'm nice. ...but biding my time. It's gonna be sad for them in a couple of months.... :)
