Houston, city of millions, and no one lives here. At least no one I can find. :)

So, anybody know anyone in Houston? There's a lot of great stuff to do here. The weather's good year round (ignoring August, and if you like A/C). And an open mind is a terrible thing to waste.

Cheers,

NY wrong mood for Houston

The northeast the wrong mood for Houston. Dark in the winter is especially a turn off. I need my sunlight to function, dammit! :) And I don't see anyone complaining about weather in teh 70s in November. Ahhhh!

(Good resturant suggestions, BTW. You like Goode Company and it's ilk?)

I'm also looking for other open minded folk here. I bet NYC doesn't have that problem. *chuckle*

What chain is Goode Company?

It's a family grouping of excellent individual resturants. One is seafood, one Tex-Mex, one BBQ, one top-quality Hamburgers, one Steak. Fantastic food!

What chain is Goode Company? I'll bet that is Willie G's, eh? I understand what you mean about the wrong mood. But that is the first impression you see. Once you get to know the city there are plenty of up beat places. NYC literally never sleeps when other cities close at 5 or 6 PM. Have you ever seen NYC from 30 miles away during sunset? 30 Miles to the west on the high ridges you see the whole skyline, the hudson river, everything. On a clear night you can see the city streets of Brooklyn.

I dont mean to be selling the NE. I want to get out. But the area does have a lot to offer that I would need if I moved.

Goode Company is a chain of home-grown, good resturants: BBQ, seafood, Tex/Mex, steak house, etc. Definitely good eating!
