Hostage Situation

So, I enjoy reading the Loving Wives section, in particular StangStar06's stories. But one thing I've always noticed, is that the husband, even when doing things that are awful (murdering someone, for example) he always seems to be a sympathetic character. So, I've been trying to come up with an idea where an otherwise good husband finds out about his wife's affair, and it drives him to do something so crazy, so heinous, even the biggest 'torch the bitch' commentators would go "holy shit. This guy went way overboard." So here's what I've come up with:

Man finds out his wife is cheating on him with the televangelist preacher she works for. He goes nuts, kidnaps the preacher's young son, and holds him hostage until the preacher goes on TV, confessing his sins, until he effectively commits career suicide and his family life collapses. Told from the preacher's perspective.

Would you read that, and any suggestions on how to make it work? This is the first story I've ever tried to write.

Agreed...

One heinous possibility: he guesses his wife is having an affair and sets out to spy on her. She indeed is, with a Dom - he finds her handcuffed, whipped, etc., seemingly loving it. With him, she was always so vanilla, barely even passionate the last few years.

He needs his revenge. One night, while at a stripclub he over hears a table of young guys talking about their "bitches" and one of them talks it up how his bitch likes to be raped. He buys the guys a table dance and makes a deal for them to break into his house and rape his wife, gangbang her, use her and abuse her, while he is traveling on business...

I didn't mean that outing him was over the line. I was thinking more along the line of kidnapping an innocent child and holding him hostage is the heinous part. I agree completely that a hypocrite preacher should be outed. I just wanted to find the absolute worst way possible to do it. I was originally going to open the story with the preacher's wife calling his cell while he's in bed with his lover, and telling him that his son never came home from school. I figure nothing would kill the libido faster than that.
