horse hair floggers

Are they as fragile as they look?

Horses have been swatting flies off their asses for millions of years. GOD/PLY doesn't make faulty designs.

No, i don't know who JD is ...

and since he doesn't want to share ... you don't get to see them.

I read somewhere that horsehair ones are yucky cause they "shed" and leave itchy little horsy hair splinters in the persons butt. (or whatever else you flogged..)

Really? Maybe I should try my hand at making a deer leather flogger then. I'm looking for something that'll make a nice warm up.

I've been flogging with horsehair for 8 years and the shards of horsehair in the butt story circulated by devon and miller in screw the roses, I believe, well...

he must have been whacking her HARD because I've never experienced this.

However, it's a stingy, specific, annoying sensation usuallly, and a deer or elk flogger is going to give you more range. Personally I think elk is the best all purpose rangy "my first flogger" material.

I've been using a suede flogger and a bigger leather one for years now. I always warmed him up by dragging the suede over the skin and hitting lightly at first, but I've been told a horse hair or deer leather flogger as a warm-up would really get him going (and vice versa for when I'm bottoming). But what I'm hearing here is making me lean towards the deer leather.

I'm thinking I'll make one instead of buying one though. Not only cheaper, but I can customize it to my liking.

you could make a nylon flogger. It would feel about like a horsehair, but would maybe be more lasting.

I got the nylon from the webbing of a patio chair. Mine is black and white, but whatever floats your boat, in that area.

The more strands the better, and the longer, too.
