I'm getting married in the next 2 years or so (we're not setting a date till we have the money for the honeymoon). The thing is we were looking into the Sandel's resorts and the all-inclusive ones. I was wondering if anyone has gone there and it it's a good deal for your money.

Thanks

I went to Sandals St. Lucia for my honeymoon. It was gorgeous and worth every penny. Very romantic music playing all the time and 98% of the place were honeymooners. They had shows a few nights and organized sport activities which were fun. However, the food is not top notch. I've been to Sandals Montego Bay and Beaches Turks & Caicos and have found the same thing with the food. It's okay, but if you are a "foodie" steer clear of these all-inclusive resorts.

Good luck with your planning!

I've always wanted to try one of these resorts. Of course, we were thinking Hedonism. :D

We did Turks & Caicos about 2 years ago with the kids and some friends. I have never been much of a beach person, but it was the MOST incredible beach I have ever seen in my life. The water really looks turquoise!! The sand is white, the fish swim around you! Incredible!

Not exactly the same, but the Wife and I went to one of the Cesar resorts in the Pocono's here in PA.
Same sort of place from what i can tell from your description, except that at most of their resorts they dont allow kids. Their for couples only. Which should give you an idea of what theyre all about.. ;)

It wasnt cheap, but definately worth the money. We had a terriffic view from our room, there were plenty of on resort activities, a little lake to go boating and such, a nature trail for those of us that are into that sort of thing. And everything was tasteful and romantic.

We want to go back. :)

Personally, my gf (soon to be fiance) and I have decided to COMBINE the wedding and honeymoon... Vegas, baby!

I had suggested Vegas but when I found out thats where his parents got married (they are no longer together) I wasn't too fond of it anymore. You can also get married at the sandels resorts. But since my dad won't fly we skipped that. I've been thinking of the idea of getting married on a boat but havn't really looked into it. Thanks for all your comments.
