Homer

My sister's guinea pig just spawned. Believe it or not, they're even uglier. :)

He is not ugly.....poor little Homer.

Oh yes he is. But that's ok, he's supposed to be. All baby mammals are. I think it just might be nature's way of keeping the preadators at bay those first days. And it doesn't make him any less if an adorable little fart.

In a few days he will probably be all cutesy, like on those puppy-on-flower-bed postcards.

I think he's adoreable wok :)

But then I have five cats so I am kinda biased in favor of cute fuzzy animals :)

AWWWWWwwwwwwwwwwww.....

UGLY??? Are you people insane? Are you Communists? Fascists? Socialists? Pedophiles? Serial killers? Republicans? Members of some anti-baby-squirrel cult?

Homer is precious.

I'm so glad you didn't pierce the ears...You're not going to bandage them so they stand up, are you? Or crop the tail? I know it's necessary with some breeds to comply with AKC standards, but I doubt if you're going to show or breed homer so just leave his ears natural, okay? They're more expressive that way.

This is one of the "Herding" breeds, isn't it?

Guys, move out. There has been a breach, We are exposed. I repeat, we are exposed.

Ice - there ARE no "regular" cats..!
Are you saying that Bull is irregular? I'd like to see you say that to his face. ;)

Yes, his name is Bull. If you were Swedish, you'd understand. (EDIT: that was for the rest of you, not 'flicka, of course. )

On the other hand, the polecat is called Kotte, swedish for fir cone. So I take no responsibility for the sanity of pet names in my household.

Gee, Cake bloke, you almost make me want to have a cat so I can call it Fir Cone and then wait until I make a Swedish friend in RL so they can think I'm cool. Nah, I hate cats (well not actively hate, just don't want to be around them).

Perdita

Ice, I think that any cat would be insulted if you told it that it was "regular"!:)

No...not a hearding breed but I may have to crop his tail if I expect to show him.

*sighs enviously* When I was little, I always wanted a pet squirrel. I would stalk them across the yard, always trying to sneak up behind one close enough to make a grab before he got away...

I hope little Homer does well!

WTF..!

You're not gonna cut his tail off, are you???

Oh no..... Svenska.....

It was a running joke from shereads from my first post about getting Homer. (Making fun of people who breed dogs and pierce their baby's ears because they are bald to show that they are female).

Nooooo.... I am just nursing him with the expectation of releasing him back into the wild.
