A sure way to beat the cold...

Cajun Cafe's Bourbon Chicken

1 Pound Chicken leg or thigh meat
Cut in bite size chunks
4 oz Soy sauce
1/2 cup Brown sugar
1/2 tsp. Garlic powder
1 tsp. Powdered ginger
2 tbs. Dried minced onion
1/2 cup Jim Beam Bourbon Whiskey
2 tbs. White wine

Mix all the marinade ingredients and pour over chicken pieces in a bowl.
Cover and refrigerate (stirring often) for several hours (best overnight).
Bake chicken at 350 for one hour in a single layer, basting every
10 minutes. Remove chicken. Scrape pan juices with all the brown bits into
a frying pan.
Heat, and add 2 Tbs. white wine. Stir and add chicken.
Cook for 1 minute and serve.

What cold? :D

I think you guys should have more snow. Hopefully that would make it so we get less.

I am so sick of winter, and ice, and snow, and cold, and shivering, and frozen windows in my car, and painfully pointy nipples. I need a rich man to whisk me away to a warm, tropical island.

Oh, that's a real recipe! I figured it'd get to the last line and it'd say ".......and now throw out the chicken and drink the broth" :D

Pointy nipples sound good. So does the tropical island! :D

Something to wash down the chicken?

Bailey's Original Irish Cream

1 cup light cream
1 can Eagle sweetened condensed milk (14 oz.)
1 2/3 cups Irish whiskey
1 teaspoon instant coffee
2 tablespoons Hershey's chocolate syrup
1 teaspoon vanilla extract
1 teaspoon almond extract

1. Combine all the ingredients in a blender set on high speed for 30
seconds.
2. Bottle in a tightly sealed container and refrigerate. The
liqueur will keep for at least 2 months if kept cool. Be sure to
shake the bottle well before serving.

Makes 4 cups.

*Add fireplace, couch, large comforter, movie of your choice, and of course, the snuggler of your choice. :D :rose:

Those "pointy nipples" just may make your wish come true, Freya Babe. Wonderful advertising.
