I talked to my Mom this morning -- she lives about 30 minutes from you and she talked about it snowing also. It's 30 here and raining. I'm just waiting for it to get a little colder and you KNOW we're talking ice on the roads. Stay safe. Stay home!

The snowing is over and now it's just wet and cold. Tank is home from drill weekend so I don't plan on going anywhere...I have plans for him!

Still snowing here in the DFW area. It will most likely be gone by tomorrow, but a nice change. It is cold though, I have my flannel jammies on.

And I think I'll take this opportunity to vent a peeve of mine. A few years back we had pretty bad icing in Central Texas. There were like 600 car accidents in the Austin area alone. I remember that night on the national news how the talking head was smirking over "them funny Texans who can't drive on ice." It INFURIATED me! You don't see them snickering when people are dying from a heat wave in Chicago cuz it hit 90° nor would we even consider *laughing* at it. If I recall correctly, we (Texans) helped out by sending hundreds of box and oscillating fans to the elderly of Illinois. But nooooooo, they smugly smirk at people and propery being injured in Texas. *growls*

They just don't get that it is so rare that we get snow or ice and there for are not prepared nor have the equipment or the experence to drive in/on it. We Texans have better manners than to laugh at others woes, we also have hearts as big as Texas.

Take good care of that man, I'm going to take good care of mine tonight! He finally got home from National Guard drill weekend and I'm going to stuff him with Lasagna and gin and tonics and then...well you get the picture!
