How do I make letters bold?

Ok, for a guy with over 250 post, you'd think I'd know by now, but how do you get like a name or one line to appear in bold letters?

And two, how do you gets quotes to show up larger like everyone does?

Thanks in advance for your help.

I'll help..well kind of! LOL

I am like half smart..WOW...I can tell someone how to do something...this is great! As for the BOLD thingy, I don't know..I have wondered that aswell..but the quote thingy I DO know.

Just click that lil' "quote" icon underneath the post on the right hand side! it will automatically show up in a new reply screen...there you can edit it, etc. Also you can just write what you want below it. Did I help? I feel so awesome!

If I learn the bold thingy before you I will let you know!

bold

[ b ]then whatever you want[ / b ]

It's that simple. Just remember to do this without the spaces between the brackets and the letters and backslash. Italics works the same way. With an I, though.

Brandi is correct about how to quote a particular post. You can carry the quoting a bit further if you look at the Vb codes that are added to the text of the post you're quoting. It demostrates the syntax for the quote,/quote tag pair, the i,/i pair (for italics,) and the b,/b pair for bold face. There are other tag pairs for underlining, bulleted and numbered lists, and other things.

Spend a few minutes browsing http://www.literotica.com/forum/index.php?action=bbcode so you have an idea of what is possible. That's the link under the words "Vb code" at the top of the new post form so it's always accessible when you need it.

A note about links: There is an option above the submit button to "automatically parse URLs" which can handle adding the URL,/URL tag pair to most links. However, if the link you want to post includes commas in the syntax you should add them manually. Also if you want vB code to show this way, you need to manually add the URL tags with the right syntax.

Click the quote icon at the bottom of this post to see the way I used each tag pair.

The only really hard part of using formattin tags is that you have to remember most are pairs of tags with a "begin" and "stop" parts that both have to be present
