Hello,
I've been reading the stories here for a few months now, and I love them.
Particularly the crossdressing related erotica.
As a crossdresser myself, Ive started writing a piece of crossdressing porn, but I think Ive gone a bit further than I intended. Basing it around my own fantasies, and inspired by what Ive read here, Its already in excess of 20,000 words... here inlies the problem.
Will I be able to submit this as one piece, or am I better to just do it in numerous chapters?
And they will be numerous.
I'm sure there is at least another 10k to write, maybe more. Who knows, there may be a novel's worth in me.

Just want some advice on how to post it when Im done...
All in one or chapters???

Thank you guys .

I'm no literotica expert, but I see that done quite a bit, posting in chapters I mean. Personally I don't like reading stories like that, but that's just my preference. To be honest, the stories are usually just not good enough to devote that much time to.:(

The sad truth is that most writers suck. I'm not saying that YOU suck, but how does the average reader know if you suck or not?

I'd suggest that you post shorter pieces, until people learn that your writing is worth their time, and THEN post your longer works.

Never listen to Carny. Never ever ever listen to Carny.

As for how you post the story that is up to you, if it is really long alot of the readers won't read it, simply because they have the attention span of an 8 year old but are actually mid 30's. Those are what most would refer to as World of Warcraft players, personally I just call them northeners, but I'm a twisted southerner. :D

The rest, not actually that many mind will read it and will have enough mental faculty to understand what you wrote, they also know enough english to post actual thoughtful comments about the story. Generally it's best to avoid those for your first story, but well it's up to you. If you are going to post the whole thingy at one time, get an editor, that way you avoid most of the bad reviews.

If you post it in short segments it's best to get an editor but you can not since most of the readers will not know proper english anyway.

Yeah but you are a londoner, everybody knows london is where they send the weird ones in England. :p

well I've seen stories on here that were mulitple chapters but all submitted in one story. Some in excess of 14 lit pages (and 1 lit page seems to equal about 6 or 7 word document pages) - they just mark each chapter so if you run short on time, you can easily find where you left off when you want to come back to it. That might be better because at least the readers know you finished the story. I stopped reading anything that said chapter # anything because too often the story doesn't get finished, and I end up feeling like my time was wasted.

Thankyou for all of your input people.

I think Im gonna continue writing it until I think its finished, then leave it alone for a bit, come back to it and then edit it myself.
I think that would give me the best objective view of the story and where to partition it for best ease of reading. I would like people to read it and give it good reviews. It's based on some of my own acts and fantasies, but it's kinda snowballed past all of that now, and I think I'm nearing an end point that totaly detract from reality whilst still remaining hot (IMO)

So chaptering is the best way to atract readers then?

Thankyou all! x

Actually no, the best way to attract readers is simply a matter of section placement. The most read sections are nonconsent and loving wives followed closely by erotic couplings, gay and crossdresser.

You may get more readers posting the entire thing at once, and you may get more readers posting it in chapters. There's no actual way of knowing that, the closest we could get would be to track down someone who has done chapters and one really long story in the same section and see which was read more. Sadly I don't think anyone has done that so it's something of a moot point.

Besides, you get a reader when they open the story, reading the entire thing is not required to be a point in the reader total. Which puts us right back to what I said already, do what you like all at once or in chapters, it is mostly an issue of where the story is not length. ;)
