Hitachi or Wahl massager?

I'm planning to buy a Wahl massager or a Hitachi Magic Wand for an upcoming trip with my wife. Believe it or not, it will actually see some use as a muscle massager (among other things). For those with experience with one or the other, which would you choose and why? I have heard that the Wahl can get pretty hot if it is used for more than a few minutes. Is this true? Also, what about the quality of the "attachments" available for each?
I'm leaning toward the Wahl. The Hitachi is probably better overall, but the price difference is substantial. I don't see either of them replacing her favorite rabbit toy :) , so I'd rather spend the extra $20 or $30 for a waterproof goody for the hot tub. But if the Wahl is junk or is going to get too hot after 5 or 10 minutes, it's not worth saving the money.

Thanks for any advice.

I've never used the Wahl, but from what I've seen and read, it's "different" from the Hitachi Magic Wand. The Wahl has different attachments - mainly for external use. The Hitachi's attachments are more for internal use. Also, there are different companies that make slightly different attachments for the Hitachi and the prices vary a lot! The cheapest ones I've seen for the Hitachi are about $8, while basically the same thing made by a different company was about $40!

I think the Hitachi is bigger and heavier than the Wahl.

If you decide to go with the Hitachi, I suggest looking at drugstore.com. They are frequently on sale there. Also, if you order a certain amount, there's free shipping. They also carry the less expensive attachments.

Adam & Eve make a knock-off of the Hitachi that's a little bit less expensive and not quite as intense.

Hitachi, all the way. You can NOT go wrong with the Hitachi. Hands down HITCHI!!
