There were predictions of global warming since the 1960's, and sure enough the globe has warmed. It's been over thirty years since the globe has had a below-average year. Nobody could have predicted that, but there it is. There is also no sign that global warming is abating, or that we'll ever see another below-average year in our lifetimes.

For the sake of discussion, lets assume that doubling tripling or more of the minuscule amount of Co2 in the atmosphere would cause CATASTROPHIC warming. I worked laying re-bar at 120 degrees so I think we will need a bit more than that before I worry

For one to have any idea if that is the case, one would have to have a complete record from time immemorial to determine if there is a precedent.

Here is a hint: Even in the limited information that is available, there actually is precedent for far more significant and far more rapid change.

These all knowing climatologists of which you speak? Why is it that all of their predictions and models are off by a much greater factor than the minor temperature variance that you are so alarmed by? This year it was what two one hundredths of a degree with a 38% chance that that even happened? The predictions were for several hundred times more variance. just withing the last 10 years. No model has even been remotely close. If any of them were it would be several degrees warmer than it is right now. How long are they allowed to be wrong before you concede that they are postulating, not "knowing?"

Being wrong by a factor of hundreds doesn't sound omniscient to me. You seem to know even less about this field than Phrodeau.
