Hello friends. It's Thursday night and for me, it's been a long week. Hopefully you have fared better. I wanted to share another Daisy After Dark, and hope you enjoy another peek into my diary. There are times I find myself wondering -- is there someone here who has seen my pictures? It's possible, isn't it?
From Daisy’s Diary:
We had [Redacted]’s company dinner tonight. We go every year, but this year felt different. I knew he was there. Somewhere. One of anyone that I was expected to mingle with and make small talk. [Redacted] had offered to tell me who he was – we talked on the drive over -- I still don’t want to know.
At first, I felt scared. I felt like everyone there had seen me. I found some strength inside. Maybe 85% rabbit, 15% lion. I did it, I pulled myself together.
By the time I made my way to the dessert table, my inner rabbit was calming down. I was wearing my favorite sundress, the food was great, and I was having a good time.
But I did find myself studying faces, looking for someone gazing at me with that knowing look. I wonder how many times I blushed for no reason.
Everyone loved my banana pudding.
We had a great time once we got home…I think he’d agree that I was all lion then. Well, maybe a little bunny, too.
What a good day!
