Fiona sat in her car, taking soothing deep breathes. She had just moved to this town only a few days ago because of her job. Her boss wanted to open a new store in this town for some odd reason and had appointed her the manager. Of course, she quickly accepted the offer. A new town meant a new her and a new experience. A chance to drop her shy personality. Amazingly the first day she got here she got a flyer for a club. At first she thought it was strange but she decided to throw caution to the wind and live a little.

Once she got her heart to stop racing she stepped out of her car. She was slightly taller in her black heels. They matched her truly purple mini skirt and tube top. Her tiny chain purse was filled with her cell, wallet, and enough maize to protect her from anything hiding in the dark.
Or so she thought..

She made her way into the club.

The beat of the music filled the halls of the dark smokey nightclub..neon colors flashed as many thousands of sweaty bodies covered the dance floor in that gyrating mating dance..it made him sick. Him being one of the many bouncers of this place. He was known as Sorin Boroi. He was of romanian decent, a soft spoken man as..even with his imposing figure of over 6 feet in hight and large athletic build, many younger vampires barely even 50 years poked fun of his name and accent. He was a relic of a old era..a survivor of the first world war.

Overlooking the dance floor, as he has many times since he was hired to by a old friend mostly so he had a cover and some modern money to support himself..so he was effectly set for unlife..but the real trial is if he can stomach the sounds of the horrible music. Soon his head snapped up and he sniffed the air..human. Many of the older patrons did the same..that instinct you gain. A woman slowly walked in..young and human. almost immedaly three prowling males who had not dates, after taking a moment to realize she's human began began to move in like sharks. "son of a bitch.." Boroi thought to himself "I am gonna kill that little stoner shit who was handing out the flyers.."he didn't know how many times he told the younger vampire only to hand out flyers to other vampires..but the dumbass goes off, gets baked..which strangely enough still effects the undead brain and just hands them off willy nilly. Boroi was careful like that, as they were those trained to kill them and the last thing he wanted was this town outed to be a vampire nest.

The young woman as she made her way into the old warehouse club and through the first bouncer, she saw three hungry looking young men man their way to her, eyes glaring at each other like it was a race..followed by a bouncer who was big enough to be at least two of those other young men combined together.

As soon as she paid her way and made it into the club she was surrounded by men. Their hungry stares would have flattered any woman but she was not just any woman. She was shy and self conscious so their stares made her uncomfortable. Slowly she backed away from the group of approaching men and made her way quickly to the bar. Her long bangs covered her eyes and made it hard to see in the dark smoke filled club.
The bartender smiled at her and she swear she saw a flash of very lethal teeth. Her heart raised in her chest as he brought her a strange drink in a shot glass without her even asking. She thanked him then turned to watch the dance floor.

The bartender, though new the rules, decided to give the girl a drink..thought not blood based it was original mix of the bars. The simple action was out of the fact he knew how fast she was going to get grabbed by someone at the end of the night..might as well have a strong drink to drown out the pain of the bite. Two of the approaching men were consumed by the large crowd, breaking off when seeing the large Sorin make his approach. Those who frequent the bar learned that Sorin is not a man to stand in the way of. Yes, everyone makes fun of his accent, but to actually try and do something he does not want you to do..normally ended in broken fangs and a one way ticket into a garbage can.

Unlucky for the girl though, he still caught within the wave of people. The last of the three who made their prowl, risking being caught moved to the bar and sat down by her, leaning in. This was one of those sort who would not take no for a response, even when he was alive. "Hey..you look lonesome..hows about some company.." the Vampire spoke cutting to the chase and attempting to use his gaze to catch the girl in a trance.

A man sat next to her and leaned in close. She instantly became shy and tongue tied. He was simply gorgeous. He asked her did she want company and she couldn't even speak. There was something very wrong about this man and she became very nervous. Without even thinking she gulped down her shot and felt it burn her throat. She never even thought they made drinks this strong. Her body instantly felt numb and relaxed.
She gained confidence and looked into the man's eyes. Big mistake. Her brain became fuzzy and her thoughts were filled with him. Just him.
"I would love some company." Did she say that? She had no control over her mouth.

"Very good...now would you join me? I do have booked a VIP room nearby." the man spoke his words like a sway of a snake charmer's flute. Soon she felt herself respond "Yes I would love to.." as she would stand, slightly stumbling from the strong drink that already flowed through her body. The Vampire, smirking softly as he just caught himself a beauty stood her up and began to walk her towards the back room...the enchantment over her mind having her follow his soft directions. Very soon with a flash of a card the door to a back room was opened. It had a few folks a private bartender, the vampire gently moving the girl to a couch to sit her down he moving beside her capturing her lips in a kiss...

Through the crowd Sorin moved, finally able to break from the dance floor as he began to move at a slight jog not to alert the patrons, but trying to keep up with the man who had a lead on him with the human, leading her into the back room. When he made it to the room the bouncer there looked to him "What you need Lagosi?" he spoke Sorin giving a long sigh..now was not the time for this shit "..Open the door..that was a human you let in.." The bouncer paused "..Seriously, Boroi. You need to calm down about this. One little human missing is not going to get us all caught." Sorin growled in response "You damn well know whats going to happen if he gets away with this..anyone who learns bout this is going to be like a five year old children clamoring for their turn, wanting to feed on a human..then enough people end up missing for a investigation. You know how Xavair is about the rules..let me in." the guard letting out a sigh knowing his co-worker was right opened the door "Fine fine.."

Fiona's heart was racing. She was no longer in control of her body. This man must have drugged her. Damn her for not being careful. A few tears threatened to escape from her eyes but she refused to let them go. She wouldn't give him the satisfaction.
He stopped kissing her and looked angrily behind him. She couldn't move her head but she looked up with her eyes. There was a very large man glaring down at him. Was she saved? Or was he just going to take her for his own.

As she broke the kiss the man who had her was ready to make his move she seeing the gleam of a fang..but before it snapped down on her neck, the large man grasped him by the back of his neck and pulled him away, girp strong enough to break a bone as he give a single firm punch to the mans face, making him far less handsome looking with a broke nose..dark inhuman blood tricking down his face. "..you damn well know you can't feed on a human unless they let you..especially not here.." with that he looked to the woman "Follow me. NOW." his voice was a thick Romanian but it had a firm strength to it, his golden eyes glaring at her looking very serious, and through his firm "NOW." she saw momentarily his fangs.

The other guard that was near the door looked in as the young vampire was held up like a rag doll in the large Romanian's grip "..take care of this garbage..see him again..tell me..I'll be far less nice next time.." he spoke looking back to the girl expectantly, waiting for her to get up and follow him. like all the bouncers he wore a tight black tee shirt with "Security" on the back and black jeans. The large, lightly tanned muscular Eastern European man towering over her.

She was stunned as the man was picked up like he weighed nothing. The large man was knocked out and obviously had a broken nose. Blood was leaking from it but it didn't quite look right. A strangely accented voice caught her attention and she looked up at her Savior. He was obviously foreign and very gorgeous. There was something about him that made her whole body catch fire. When he told her to stand she caught sight of some very sharp looking teeth. They had to be fake. There was no way they were real. She decided the club must have a vampire theme and left it at that.
Quickly she stood up and follow the man who had "security" written on his shirt. It gave her comfort to know he was security but even if she hadn't seen that he was a bouncer she would have still felt comfortable with him. She just couldn't explain it.

He walked her out of the bar to the entrance standing before her as he walked her out, the other patrons watching as the one was dragged out by the other bouncer, the large towering Romania following by the girl, he leading her outside before turning to her looking down to the girl. "You were not supposed to come here..forget this place and don't return." he spoke firm and steady so she could understand him through his thick accent. "Before you ask why. Simple. It's dangerous..if I didn't stop him you would have been fed on." he spoke. He was careful about his nature, but right now he was going to make sure to things. She does not come back, and she's too scared to speak about what she saw and count herself lucky she was able to leave.

He looked down at the ebony skinned woman pausing a breif moment..she was attractive..like a little rabbet lost in a sea of wolfs who would feed on her. Unlike the others he had his self control as he spoke. "I will do all I can to get you home..and to keep you safe..but you need to never come back here again.." trying to keep a focus on his job..

Fiona looked up at the stunning man. Even though he was warning her to stay away she couldn't help but be drawn to him. His thick accent was like music to her ears. She tried to pay attention to his warning and something confused her. "Feed? He was gonna eat meh?" Her words were slightly slurred because of the liquid tranquilizer. It made it hard to speak and hard to stand up. She had to lean against the strange man just so she wouldn't fall over. But something wasn't right. He seemed reluctant to have her anywhere near him or the club. This only made her more curious.

Sorin looked down to the little human that was swaying from the liquid tranquilizer..he looking back with a bit of a growl..it was almost inhuman before he looked back "..look..where do you live..I'll get you money for a taxi, just..go home.." he spoke watching her lean on him looking up with her curious eyes. With a little sigh the man took a moment just to open his mouth, he making sure she got a good look at his teeth..and to note they were FAR from fake. After a few moments he closed his mouth

"Look..risking a lot to show you that as it is..just leave." after a moment he paused "I'll escort you home..alright?" he asked doing all he can to try and keep her from coming back to this place..he knew she was a dead woman walking if she didn't have him looking over her. A hand gently rubbed the woman's shoulder reassuringly to try and show he could be trusted.

Fiona felt her heart stop when she caught a full view of his teeth. 'Fangs?' She thought to herself. Her brain completely shut down and all she could think about was his fangs. They were not fake which meant one of two things: They were implants or he was a vampire. But by the look of them they weren't implants. Something about them looked lethal. He asked for her address but she couldn't speak. Instead she just reached into her purse with a trembling hand and pulled her license out to show him her address.
Her vision started to get blurry and she gripped his arm for support. The liquor and the shock of what she'd just stumbled onto was sending her brain into overload.

Taking the card for a moment to look over quickly he gently took it and put it back in as he felt her grip his arm..he paused watching the poor thing shake in fear..something that made him pause on his blunt voice and approach. After a moment he spoke..soft and gentle this time "shh..I won't hurt you..I'm doing all I can to make sure none of them will.." he spoke taking a moment to let her support into her..soon he took a moment to gently take her shifting as he plucked her up into a piggy back right. His strength more then enough to support the girl "Hang on little one..I'll get you home...if your afraid of heights, do close your eyes" With that he began to look about making sure no one saw him..and then with a sudden jump, he bounded from the ground to a roof of a building..he holding onto her tight..from there he moved from roof top to roof top making his way back to her apartment.

The world quickly turned into a blur. She shut her eyes tight before she lost the light meal in her stomach. Her face pressed into his neck and she took comfort in his scent. Something about him terrified yet comforted her. Her heart had never beat this fast in her life. She knew he could feel against his back. This strange man made her heart want to leap out of her chest. Was this some vampire effect? Before he sucked the life out of her? No. He had said he wasn't going to hurt her and, for some reason, she believed him.
She hadn't even known they had stopped until he gently set her down off his back. They were in front of her door. She took her keys out but couldn't manage to get the key into the hole. Her hands were shaking to bad and she just couldn't get here body to calm down.

He looked to her as he sighed..should have left it alone as it is..but Sorin felt responsible for the woman, taking a moment he walked to the door and gently helped her along to unlock it, from there he lead her her into it and layed her down on the nearest couch. From there he paused softly speaking "Rest..I will go back and get your car.." he spoke as he then gently head off, closing the door behind him. Soon after a half hour, she heard the familer sound of her car parking in nearby. He getting out he looked to her home pausing briefly..thinking a bit...soon he walked back to the door and softly knocked, to see if she's taken the time to rest.

Her eyes had closed the second he laid her on the couch. She dreamt of everything that happened. But she mostly dreamnt of her vampire body guard. Wait did she just call him her vampire body guard? A soft knock on the door brought her out of her dreams. She groaned and sat up. The image of another vampire being on the other side of the door waiting to devour her. She shuddered and grabbed her maize. It may or may not work but it was worth the shot.

Slowly she got up and walked to the door, maize in hand. She opened the door slowly and sighed when she saw the bodyguard from earlier. "H-Hi." Her heart leapt when she looked up into his eyes. For a second she couldn't think or speak. Then, "So do I have to invite you in?"

Sorin stood at the door eyes looking to her before he paused, watching her silent reaction. His eyes were a brilliant gold when he looked down to her he taking a moment to watch her delay..his eyes slowly paying attention to her breathing patterns and heartbeat. Soon she asked him that question..a soft smile appeared on his face as he offers a little bow of his head "If you please m'lady." With that moment, he showed his age as he stood awaiting the little human to invite him in. He didn't know why he came back to her..somthing in him wanting to protect her, knowing that at least that one vampire he threw out would be prowling for her.

Fiona couldn't believe that she was about to invite a real live, somewhat live, vampire into her home. But, she trusted him for some reason. Her lips made the decision for her, "Please come in my hero." She turned quickly so he couldn't see her cheeks turn red. Even though most people couldn't tell because of her Carmel skin, she was sure he could. Honestly she hadn't meant to call him her hero out loud. What was it about him that made her turn into a blurring teenager? Was it his foreign good looks? His air of power or seniority? She wasn't sure.
Crossing the room she sat on her couch. Her body was still exhausted from shock. She had to remind herself to call in sick tomorrow. There was no way she could work after tonight. She would be to distracted and tired. No, it is just better for her to stay home. But, she would worry about work later. She had a guest. Vampire or not, she couldn't be rude. "Please sit"

Pauses at the hero. She called him her hero..it's been some time since he was refereed to anything but ether a monster or a old man out of touch..so it was a pleasant change. he watched her slowly..he indeed could..he could smell it..sense her heartbeat her exhausted form. He just watched her as he walked in giving a soft not "thank you." he spoke as he then moved to sit down upon the nearby chair, heavy boots hitting the ground as he did so. His golden eyes almost glowed in the dim light as he looked to her softly asking "..You are well, little one? I do hope you have calmed down since our last meeting..you started to worry me.." he spoke gently, eyes watching the girl.

She watched the big man sit in her chair. A chair that swallowed her up when she sat in it, looked the perfect size for him. It made her wonder. Was he this large because he was a vampire or was his size normal for him? Either way he radiated strength in power that should frighten her. Yet it didn't. She only felt...admiration for this man.
Exhausted she kicked her heels off and laid her legs up on the couch with her head on the arm of the couch. She closed her eyes and heard his voice. He was concerned about her she could tell. "...I was almost drained of my life by a vampire..a mythological creature..that I just learned is real.." Her words floated in the air and she instantly sat up and looked at him with apology in her honey brown eyes. "I-I'm sorry. That was rude.. I meant the bad vampire.. I wasn't trying to insult you... Obviously you are real and not going to hurt me.. Right?" She knew she was babbling and just laid back down.
"I dont even know your name.."

He watched her silently, his eyes golden looked over her, almost as if reading her every movement..like he could predict them by the twitches of her muscles..he watched her slowly backtrack on her words as he just offered a little smile, it was a closed smile, practiced over many years to hide his fangs "None taken..and I don't blame you..we take very good care of being unseen. Most of us try to keep hidden, but the younger the generations are, they act like they are apex predators..kill and feed with no consequence."

"My name is Sorin Boroi of Romania.." thought he was self conscious and soft spoken with most of his words because of his accent, when he introduced himself he spoke it with pride and dedication. The full thick music of his accent was on display. "Before you ask me, no I was not a count nor noble of any worth, I was a peasant turned solder, fighting for my family and King. The great war to be precise. I was turned on that very battlefield..lurking vampires feeding off of carnage that conflict produced." After the grand introduction his voice returned to it's more soft spoken nature "And no..I will not hurt you. I have no reason to..and with the action I preformed, I effectively feel a obligation to keep you safe. But to do that, you will follow my directions, yes?"

Fiona could not help but stare at her hero. Sorin. She analyzed hi s body, looking for any signs of his immense age. But, she could see none. He was perfect. That was not an exaggeration. He was literally perfect. Tall, handsome, strong, and wise. He had a body that every girl in the world used as a visual in her wet dreams. Even herself. Fiona's inner voice screamed at her. She shouldn't be fantasizing about a man she had just met. Especially one who is a vampire that uses girls like her for his meal. All the blood must have drained from her face because he softly told her he wouldn't jury her. And, again, she believed him. He had no reason to lie. If he wanted her blood, he could just take it. She knew he wanted to help but she had to listen to him.
"Yes. I will follow all your instructions Sorin. Oh, uhm, I'm Fiona. Fiona Drake."

Sorin would look down to Fiona as he offered a bow of his head, almost as a gentleman would "Miss Drake Hello..for now you will be safe as I am here..but I am glad to hear that you will listen to me..your life is mine now." at a glance Sorin did not think about what he said..he then stopped "Oh..I apologize." he spoke genuinely "I did not mean in that way..what I meant was I am to guard your life now..It was a slip of the tongue.." he spoke pausing a moment hoping the girl believed him. His thoughts began to entrain a idea of she being his and only his..a pet..but he pushed it out of his head..he was a guard and protector to the girl only that.
