I just read through this thread beginning to end and it is truly amazing!

Starfire, you have a great eye for compostion and are one of the better photographers I've seen, up there with Edward Weston and Helmut Newton.

And HK, I'm not sure who loves you more, the camera or the readers of this thred.

Everyone can be beautiful - there is no definitive shape, look or for that constitutes beauty.

Well composed shots that highlight your strengths invite positive feedback and boost confidence. Posting pics is a big step, though my (limited) experience of Lit has shown that the readers are sensitive an appreciative - when they see something they like then they respond - if they do not particularly like then they pass over it, rather than post a negative comment. That is what I like about this place.

I have never seen a pic post that has been ignored - there are too many nice people here to let that happen.

I come late to this Discussion, and I'm sure that what I say doesn't differ from any of the other comments.

I rarely post to the forum ( as I'm sure my measly stats bear out) however there comes a time when something so simply stunning hit's you in the face and you feel compelled to make comment.

HK - yours is probably one of the most erotic, mentally arousing discussions on this board. From now on I'll be sure to pay more attention to threads if this is the reward I get from it.

Dusting the Hasselblad

Dusting the Hasselblad....ok we now have a new euphamism!

I can see that he has influenced your technique. The close ups on her nipple, and dune.jog are very reminiscent of his style, and recline1.jpg is more weston the newton, but still the better uses of a naked woman and a camera.

Have you considered maybe doing some with masks, so as to preserve her anonymity and yet allow for full and 3/4 shots that let her arms do leading lines to her stomach, waist, hips, breasts, etc.

Off to go polish my Leica. ;-)

Heehee..... Euphemisms (note spelling ) are cool........

There are a wole host of influences, and not just photographers. I like Newton and Weston, but I strongly admire Bob Carlos Clarke and James Wedge (go see if you do not know them - I especially admire Wedge's hand-tinted stuff.) There are a number of Japanese photographers I like too.

The "Mask" idea has set me thinking - thanks for that. Look out for a series after this weekend
