Hidden Gems for the Netflix Crowd

I'm a Cyborg But That's OK

Super cute Korean romance. It was on Netflix, and then it went missing. Not sure about it's current status, but I absolutely loved it, and I picked it for a movie night solely based on its title.

There is now a Directors cut of Iron Sky available on NetFlix.

Thanks for the tip. I'll check it out.

Another recommendation: The History of Future Folk. This quirky, low-budget sci-fi film is full of surprises. The music alone is worth the time spent watching it. Just ignore the dollar store effects. The entire budget seems to have gone into the original songs.

If you like Simon Pegg, "How to Lose Friends and Alienate People", is streaming now. Quite funny.

I would add Pitch Black as an underrated gem... marred by a series of dreadful sequels...

Great sleeper.

Brick is another, though looks like it's no longer on netflix.

Hard Candy should be on the watch list.

Firefly is a brilliant space western.

Someone mentioned Orange is the New Black...that one is well done and based on a true story.

Weeds was fun...so many unlikeable characters.

Breaking Bad, of course.

Fargo the movie is available at NetFlix.

For those who haven't seen it and are contemplating watching the TV series you might want to familiarize yourself with the movie first.

Sorry, haven't even had the urge to see it. In fact every time it pops up on the list I laugh.

Sharknado is wonderfully awful. :) I have found I have a weakness, or fondness, for such movies as are made by The Asylum company, such as that and Mega Shark vs. Giant Octopus.

I read this Netflix news today: they will develop 26 new episodes of... drumroll... Firefly! After Joss Whedon finished with Avengers 2.
