Hickie

I'm in a relationship, I'm 19 by the way and I've never known the whole thing behind a hickie. Like why and how the hell you give someone one. Can you tell me?

Well in my opinion...

They're mainly given out of insecurity to 'brand' your S.O. so that otheres will know that she/he has someone who's giving it to him/her regularly...
I don't give them & I don't let guys ive them to me...
it could also be that the two are so caught up in passion that they don't notice that one has been latched on to the other sucking on the same patch of skin... (I doubt this though)
I don't think it could be too healthy either I mean you're literally sucking thier blood to the surface & that's where the red spot comes from... breaking all of those blood vessles can't be good for the person...

Ah I wus thinkin along those lines cos I see it as being pretty stupid just to constantly suck on a bit of skin

Hickies are usually for the younger folks. They look tacky, and a little slutty (in the bad way).

I actually love hickies though, in a private area. They make the skin very sensitive, and it's fun to have someone lick them, or scrape their teeth against it.

But, I don't let anyone give me them anymore, because it is damaging to the skin cells.

I remember hearing somewhere that it could be very harfull to the person receiving the hicky.... how I don't remeber... but I knkow it can't be good ot keep doing it...

I have never heard of hickie being harmful. I am pretty sure if it done with a lil passion and not the idea of sucking the blood out of u then it can not be harmful. And there is nothing like looking in the mirror and finding a light red mark left on ur breast by someone who was doing it with lust.
Nothing like a good reminder

:D

Technically speaking, there is a remote chance that the gathered blood from a hickie, can, when dissolving back into the bloodstream, cause a bloodclot, which can in turn lead to strokes, hemmorhages, etc. Chances are infinitesimal, though. That's the only harm I've ever heard of being associated with hickies, aside from the beating you get from your parents the first time you come home with one when you're young.
Oh well.

How long do you have to suck on the spot for then?

Three words:

Practice, Practice, Practice

Sooner or later you'll get the hang of it. ;)

I'm wondering about the effects of getting hickies repeatedly, over a long stretch of time. What if they were all in the same place?

Now I'm curious!

:)
