My German is obviously not any good, hence I am writing in English. I know, another ignorant American, right?!
My first story, which is partly based on real-life actually has a German protagonist, who I had a major crush on in high-school. Always had a thing for German guys since then.... Anyways, if your English is decent, feel free to hit me up. Maybe you can teach me some German.... Below is my intro from the English forum.

Ja richtig.

Weil: »You're one of the richest countries in the world!«, übersetzt heißt:
»Ihr seid eines der reichsten Länder der Welt...«

Das ist dieses "Problem" mit dem englischen 'You'. Was sowohl "Du" als auch "Ihr" heißen kann...

I was just writing that I've been to Norway, Trondheim, Bergen, north via Haparanda to Finland and from there to Savonlinna, which is close to the Russian border ^^ (where I met /w a couple of guys from the... no, I better don't say it^^) -- and that Norway is just a very beautiful country!

Du bist auch nicht unbedingt gemeint, aber da ausdrücklich betont wird, dass da jemand Deutsch lernen will, finde ich es unhöflich, auf English zu antworten, das kann sie ja schon...
