i find the idea of parents and children or brothers and sisters having sex pretty revolting. A dear friend of mine was a victim of that sort of abuse, and the scars still affect her ability to enjoy sex.
However, because i'm such a curious person, i'd like to know how much of my feeling is just social programming. i've read several stories on the subject, some of which were just what i feared they'd be.
Some are different. Where the element of force or compulsion is gone,and the behavior is voluntary and caring, there are some interesting stories to tell. Tales with fascinating complications.
Stories of not-so-immediate family, <aunts, uncles, cousins> i'm more likely to enjoy. There is an element of the forbidden which can be the perfect spice for some dishes.
All three of my stories so far are about a pair of cousins, so i guess i've decided that incest on that level is OK.

The incest stories upset me. I was never personally abused but I know many who have been and I cannot reconcile this topic as entertaining. A serious issue that I have about these stories (I am by no means an expert) is that the actors are often very young. I actually do not get creeped out by the John Irving adult siblings going at it theme (this can even be exciting). It's the Anais Nin child incest type stories that trouble me.
After further analysis, maybe I don't have a problem with incest stories. I take issue with the exploitation of children and others not competent to make such important decisions.

at the risk of being misunderstood
The largest read story I wrote was censentual sex between mother and grown son not living under her roof. So I guess somebody reads them.
By the time I knew what sex was, my mother was over fifty. I was the last of a large brood of children. Sex with my mother would have been a rediculous thought. So incest did not cross my mind until I was grown. Then only in fantasy.
As for my Step Daughter. who I have known since she was eight, I was amazed to find out that she ever had sex. She is 22 now by the way, I dont even like her let alone desire her.
The point is most of this crap here is fantasy. You are not responsible for you fantasies being acceptable to others. So no I never had incest and am not interested, not in my real life. I have written about it, on rare occassions when I do read, have read about it. I neither look for it, nor do I avoid it. If it stikes my fancy at the time, I will read about concentual incest. I do not read rape stories of any type. That is a personal thing.
I realize that concentual sex with a child is crap. There is no such thing but all incest does not have to be with children you know. By the way be careful of your email the FBI is looking.

O.K. I have never been involved in the practice of incest nor do I believe that it is at all constructive in real life. However both sexuality and the family are close to self and some incest stories read "between the lines" and are a reflection of the forces which surround and support our lives. A good incest story ,I think, presents the reality beneath the surface without pulling in concrete individuals from the real "family". Its a trade of ideas based on personal experience vs. the real "yuk". Lets toss ourselves out fom our basic selves and see what happens. Family for them is not family for us! Let us see ourselves all together then we will see where wem all come from . Bruce.

Incest stories invovling Aunts, Uncles, Mothers, or Fathers is too close to the reality of abuse to turn me on at all.
I've read only a handful of Incest stories that dont leave me feeling disgusted and as a result I usually avoid them all together now.
In the past it was the stories involving cousins, and siblings that provided the best reading experiance.
Also they had to be older...16 or above.

Peoples perspective on life is derived from their experience in their family and since "coming of age" usually occurs in the family context in some peoples mind the connection is made. Stories are fantasy. Often have more to say about the person who wrote them than anything else. Should ask people who write them why they do it.
