Is this story actually 'very, very strange'?

Hi All - I'm not sure I'd normally actively solicit a response to a story here but I received a comment that makes me want to consult the hivemind...Would you mind letting me know what you think?

Here's the comment: 'That was just very very strange. Hot , in the particulars, but the realism of the writing made it very very strange. Why did these events happen?? What happened next.'

And here's the story in question: https://www.literotica.com/s/forced-to-masturbate-in-the-office

I'm genuinely baffled. Why is it 'very very strange' to write this (quite basic) premise in a realistic style?

I don't mind being called strange, don't mind it at all. And I'm not going to change the way I write. And this story seems to be fairly well received, has red H and all that...I'm just wondering what this anonymous reader could have expected to be different?

Thanks -
GuiltyCowboy

Lit has a wide and varied readership and not all of the folks who comment have English as their first language. Aside from the use of "strange", the comment itself is mostly complimentary of your story, so it's possible they could not find the correct word to use in that instance, especially since they seem to want to know more. Personally, I'd take it as encouragement to keep writing; I don't think they're asking you to change how you do it. :)

Yes, good point on the English as a second language possibility. I agree it's a largely encouraging comment, which I'm happy to receive. I'm just wondering why a veneer of realism would seem so unusual for this type of story, really.

It is a strange story, and I mean that as a compliment. If David Lynch made porn, it would probably look something like that.

Thanks, SomaSlave, and thanks for the comment you left on the story; appreciate the thoughtfulness. Funnily enough, Bunuel popped into my head as I was writing it, another master of dreams-in-broad-daylight.
