Thanks to those who left messages on the 'Are you Happy with Life' thread, it is good to be back.
As some of you know I suffered a neurological illness midway through last year, during the investigation they also discovered I had asbestosis; six months on and this is the situation. The neurological illness was probably Lymes Disease, it has passed through my system leaving minor numbness in my left arm - considering I experienced temporary loss of vision and severe breathing difficulties at its peak, I'm happy to settle for occassional numbness. It may, or may not, emerge again in the future, no one seems to be able to say for sure. On the asbestosis, I had a thorough check-up last week to monitor status. The consultant is satisfied the asbestosis is benign and stable, in fact my breathing tests were better than anticipated - probably as a result of the passing of the neurological symptoms. I'm told the risk of it developing into anything more serious is about 2% - roughly equal to heart attack risk for a person of my age. I can live with that.
Since Christmas I've been able to return to working, catching up with work and making plans for the future. Some of you helped me with my ideas for a Literary web-site last fall, that plan is being advanced, I'll post calls for submissions in due course - I'll be looking for unpublished Non-erotic and Erotic fiction circa 30k+ words.
