It's great to see you back, and with such wonderful news! I won't stop supplicating the divinity on your behalf, but I'll throw in a word or two of appreciation. :D

Hi Ogg.

Police tell me it was used for 'racing'! God alone knows why they chose a 20 year old Honda Civic. Damaged front and rear and transmission or clutch 'shot'. Waiting for an insurance assesor to take a look. First I need paperwork... and it takes the local GNR Guarda Nacional Republic 5 days to type a report. I always knew there was a good use for Republican Guards

Been there. I have had five vehicles stolen over the years. All were old heaps - they are easier to steal. All except one I got back but three with damage. One minibus had been stripped of its stereo system and the engine was about to be removed when the Police arrived. The thieves had soaked the interior with petrol, ready to light as soon as the engine was out.

I was luckier than my cousin. He had a fast sporty saloon when such cars were rare. He got off the train from London and found his car was not in the station car park. He walked to the Police Station and heard on the police radio that his car was being chased at high speed after a bank robbery. The police were losing the race. The robbers crashed the car and switched to another stolen vehicle. My cousin's pride and joy was completely wrecked and a write off. The robbers had crashed it because they had knocked the sump off the engine crossing a kerb and had run the engine until lack of oil seized it solid.

One of my friends had another sports saloon that looked almost like a normal family car but was very fast - ideal for bank robbers. His car was stolen from the station car park five times while he was at work in London. Four times it was returned undamaged even though he had the car's locks changed every time. The fifth time? It was dumped in a canal in London and written off. He bought an underpowered family saloon as his next car...

I hope you have luck with the insurance company.
