Hey, where's Recidiva?

It's true, I miss Miss Reci.

I was pining for the fjords before, now I pine for Reci.

: sobs a bit though still adorable :

It's great that I have theme songs for you and Perg and several other folks on this thread. When they come up on my MP3 player, I smile extra.

Someone want to claim a song from the Chess soundtrack? I'm reacquainting myself.

I don't have a smooch for you to pass along to her, Ulaven, but I do miss seeing her around.

I came across one of her posts in the AH tonight and was thinking about her.

There's always rune for Raidho.

Ulaven, please tell the sweet 'Diva to come back soon. She was just beginning to impart her wisdom to me when she disappeared. I am eager for more knowledge. ;)

Also, tis the season to not eat yellow snow.

I'm interested in your garden that your other half spoke of. Herbs, I hear. What else?

Fire ants mostly. Winter is the best gardening time for me. I can water by hand and the entire place doesn't wilt to a crisp in a day.

Winter is pansy weather and I love pansies.

So far there are several flowering plants and cacti that survive my winter experiments through the summer because they can fend for themselves. Saguaro and pencil cactus, grapefrut and two orange trees, phlox, hibiscus, firecracker plant, shrimp plant, some purple weird thing we just call the "Star Trek" plant.

I planted a fuchsia that I adored, but she went wild and blocked the faucet to the hose and had to be put down because of her thorns. Poor thing.

Wow. That sounds lovely, and if you have them, I'd love photos of your little Eden.

Unfortunately I just recently had my hard drive fail. So my pictures are gone. I have one on putfile of my variegated red hibiscus though - this is what I see right through the back door on the fence opposite the yard -

not ours, but close to them: Shrimp plant, we have this right outside the back door. Fortunately unkillable.

Once or twice a year the Saguaro puts out a huge bloom, about the size of my open hand. Blooms only in the morning.

The orange and grapefruit trees flower for a few weeks of the year, delicate white blossoms that make the back yard smell like honeysuckle.
