Heroes of 2099 (Casting Call)

This is a DC Comics thread.

The year is 2099.

The world is in turmoil.

As the world has progressed, the number of superheroes decreased, and the numbers of super-powered criminals increased.

The Golden Age, that of Superman, Batman and WonderWoman has passed. The last true superhero, Terry McGinnis, died 20 years ago.

The Green Lantern Corps have had no presence in the solar system in over 50 years.

There is a remnent though. A leftover from the Golden Age.

This person hunted down those with powers, and approached them through the internet, in the form of messages, Inviting them to come to Old Gotham.

This is their story...

Ok basically we're playing with the descendents of superheroes such as Bats, Supes, Flash ect. The Golden Age ended roughly at 2010, so these will be the grandchildren or great grandchildren of the originals.

Basically: Choose a hero (or maybe a villians descendent who is good), and make their descendent ect.

if their are any other questions just ask and i will answer.

Name: Matthew Zatara Jones
Age: 21
Aka: Undecided
Descended from: Zatanna and Killer Croc.
Powers: Very durable, scale-like skin and superior stamina, Enhanced senses, Sharp claws and teeth, Super human strength, speed, reflexes, and agility. Also a skilled user of magic.

Character History
The great grandson of Zatanna and Killer Croc. He is the first member of his fmaily since the original Killer Croc to have developed the Crocodile disease. This explains why Zattanna's Daughter married Croc's son - He was completely human, as was their son, Matthew's Father.

Growing up as a outcast raised by his father, Matthew hated his life as a freak, until his father revealed the other part of his heritage....his magic.

Matthew began to practice Magic frequently, but was always upset with his appearance, something that magic wouldn't change. Watching his elder sisters and brother grow up and marry (for he was the youngest and the only one with the crocodile disease), Matthew tired of being rejected and lonely and turned to alcohol at the age of 18.

Recently he was contacted by the 'remenent' and offered a second chance, one where he would be accepted and be a superhero.

Reluctantly, He decided that his answer would be Yes.

Notes
Matthew has an alcohol problem, and is extremely rusty at his magic, and has even let his body crumble a bit, currently being at the level of an extremly fit human, though this is merely a shadow of his full potential.

Age: 159
Aka: Mr Freeze
Powers: Genius-level intelligence, Expert in cryogenics, Wields a suit that keeps his body temperature below freezing and enhances his strength. Regressed aging and Immortality due to the cryogenic freezing of his body.

History: The Same Villian that was one of Batmans Foes, Mr Freeze is still a villian, except for the fact thats he now uses gauntlets instead of a freeze gun and does not require diamonds to survive.

Is it acceptable to make my own hero? Seeing as I don't know much about DC comics. I will make him descended from Hannibal, the DC villain from 300.
