Here in the UK

The public inquiry into this should be interesting to put it mildly.

(feel free to send me any of those spare 50's you have lying around then :D )

Since this is a boris thread, and since its been mentioned elsewhere, might as well do a link to the bullingdon club..

https://www.theguardian.com/politic...oris-johnson-sexism-violence-bullying-culture

while reading (again) bullingdon club stuff i found this bit -

"James has had longer to reflect on the nature of his regrets. “Everyone does stupid stuff when they are young,” he tells me, “but the Bullingdon was different.” He remembered having fond memories of several fellow members, but believed that the destruction was organized and run by a core of members, including Darius Guppy and Gottfried von Bismarck, who he called as a “complete sociopath. One of the scariest people I’ve ever met, with no moral conscience whatsoever.” Bismarck was known in Oxford for dinners in which pig heads were served and became internationally notorious after Olivia Channon, the daughter of a Conservative minister at the time, died after ingesting a lethal cocktail of alcohol, cocaine, and heroin in his Christ Church room."

Anyone care to guess who Boris and his wife spent christmas 2019 with? in Mustique ?

(it was Gottfried von Bismarck,)

Just listened to Raab and was trying to think who he reminded me of He was going on about 33k extra beds and that worried me. They haven't yet really needed these, because the lock-down is kinda working. So what do they know they're not telling us. Is there much worse to come?

Oh yes, much much worse......

Raab will be elimated, having already been given the blackspot - he is the fall guy, literally deadman walking. Boris will make a full recovery and assume massive powers.

the extra beds wlil be for those who are deemed 'too unwell to function in society'' they wont be occupied for long
 before being refilled.

meh... the press is fixated with that one shipment. It's baffling why he/they mentioned it, so someone will fall. Hancock? more like Wanker

The media is fixated on that shipment because it highlights the lack of wisdom at the top. They are relying on overseas suppliers which let them down while UK manufacturers are exporting the very same articles to the EU because the UK government will not talk to them.

Maybe
but amongst the presnt government there is a lot of in fighting - they all know that each and everyone of them would gleefully throw anyone other one of them under the bus - rather than face any accustations theirself. its a bit like attack is the best form of defence, the element of attack is surprise, so attack your enemy before your enemy has even realised that s/he is your enemy and then find themself on the defensive.

Dominc cummings is the architect behind a lot of this cock up - but his main job is to keep boris in post.

There was probably the start of an in'house anti boris campaign showing this morning when strangely one of the nurses who treated boris appeared in the media swearing blind that he fully deserved to be in ICU . very strange since a lot of NHS workers are now banned from speaking to the media (on fear of gross misconduct dismissal - and thereby end of career) should they speak to the media.

Put that in context with some of the car crash media interviews by ministers and there have been quite a few, with many more to come and a pattern looks like developing.

As regards this one shipment , matt hancock jumped the gun with its announcement - when he said it would be delivered on Sunday - it hadn't even been ordered. Something Turkey was not happy about being blamed for - potentialy causing future supply issues.

the bizare situation betwen hancock and Sir simon mcdonald is another example of cock ups.

What is running parrallel to these is the governments morale / distraction campaign - a bit like getting kids in WW2 to collect jam jars and pans - it gets people focused on major tom and other people doing strange things to raise money for the NHS (if that isnt a distraction i dont know what is, since the NHS should be fully funded by central government) and not looking at whats going on around them- such as deaths in carehomes or local hospitals still as of today having only 19 ventiliators in one major town in the uk.

chuck in a few items about face maskes - should you wear one or not? if you do would that endanger supplies to the NHS ? mix in there some stories about the danger to the economy - which is irrelevant if you're dead anyway. then add more PPE issues such as for mental health workers, teachers, fireservice etc...
