Ok... I need some more specificity. Was it that you didn't like the movie, or that it was actually bad? I ask because 1) It is an opera, 2) the opera was insanely popular in its day, 3) Tim Burton, 4) The story is notoriously grotesque, 5) Tim Burton, 6) it has received critical acclaim from just about everyone.

Please let me know more about your feelings, without any spoilers... I've not seen it yet.

okay, here we go. I think it got critical acclaim because it was daring but I just don't think it translated well to the big screen. maybe I just wasn't in the mood ... I dunno.

I love Tim Burton, Helena Bonham Carter, Johnny Depp...

the makeup and sets were very Burtonesque, as was the lighting, etc. I think it was just the storyline ...

it's movin' along, movin' along - perhaps a bit slow and then when it picked up in the middle it was good, but IMHO it, ummmm, ended a bit too quickly and we were left with a kind of - "oh. it's over. ok then." feeling.

I could give much more detail about what I liked versus didn't but cannot do so here without giving away the surprise elements.

There is one scene in particular that should have ended differently to stay true to Depp's character.

but what do I know. i'm not a movie critic!

edited to add: I think I would haved loved it in the theatre...

seems like a pretty in-depth review for someone who's not a critic. maybe you should consider a career change.

I would but I would end up looking like a junior high nerd, dancing by himself. I can do a mean impersonation of Patrick Dempsey from "Can't Buy Me Love" but who can't do the african tribal dance lol

nobody said you had to dance ... a slow strip to some sexy music would more than do it for me!
*fans self*

or, you doing the african tribal dance? fucking hot.

(how sweet that you waited 25 minutes for that damn thing to download!)

The movie is bombing so if it's anything it appears you are not alone in how you think.

Oh my.....what's Ms Incredibly sexy? Hope you're day treated you well

hi hun!
i had a great weekend. fantastic dinner last night (has anyone ever had a "Cherry Wonder" vodka martini? meh. you're all guys. probably not. mmmm!!!).

only one problem: SUCKY movie. Sweeney Todd in a theater? WTF were we thinking? As much as i love and adore Johnny Depp it totally sucked ass.

ooops. who let the Potty Mouth QG outta her cage? wait a moment and i'll throw her back in there.

okay. good to go.

I didn't think that movie would do well. The story sucks. Oh well!!!!! BTW you're to funny.

I would have been, but it was right before I packed in the suit case........I don't wear panties so I hope briefs or such will work....

as much as i'd love to see you in panties, briefs will do. ;)

keep the man junk inside for this one, eh?
