Her Protector (closed)

"Oh. Sister!"

The relief and happiness sparkling in Mona's eyes was evident. "Of course. He talks about you all the time. I've been really curious to meet you."

She stepped, lightfooted, inside. "I know it seems weird to just call over like this..." she said, a little vaguely.

"Carol," Josh said to his stepmother, his tone coldly indifferent. She had Allie's large brown eyes, but where Allie's were soft and doe-like, Carol's were glazed and hard.

He turned back to his father.

"Last night, you broke Allie's laptop and her phone. I estimate you owe her $600."

Josh Sr. sneered at him. "So what if I did? The little slut's going to college, isn't she? She thinks she's better than us. If you're so concerned about her, you can pay for them."

Josh took a step closer, the light of battle in his eyes. "I'm not telling you again," he said softly.

“He talks about me all the time?” Allie asked, a bit taken back by Mona’s admission. Why would Josh talk about her at work?

“Oh…it’s not weird. Josh must have been expecting you but with me moving in today, it probably slipped his mind.” She tried to soothe over the situation. “Come on in and have a seat. Would you like something to eat or drink while you wait?”

Allie moved into their living room, directing Mona to have a seat as she moved into the kitchen to play the dutiful hostess. If it was one thing she could do for Josh, it was make his friends feel at home when they came to visit.

“Joshua, if you came here to start trouble you can just leave.” Carol said, crossing her arms over her chest as she regarded her step-son. “Allie is a big girl. If she wants a laptop and a new phone, she can pay for them herself.”

She could see her husband getting angry, his large hands balling into fists as his son took a step closer, his eyes sparkling in the light. “Joshua…leave. Now…”

"Oh, you're too kind," said Mona, seating herself. "A cup of coffee would be great."

She cleared her throat tremulously. "He really does talk about you all the time," she said softly. "It's obvious that he thinks the world of you. He's... he's quite a guy, isn't he?"

Josh glared at them both, contempt in every line of his toned body.

"No," he said. "I'm not leaving until I get what you owe Allie."

His father snorted.

"Why? So she'll suck your cock?"

Josh lashed out, pulling the blow just in time before it crashed into his father's face. He glared at him, eyes glittering, saying nothing. His father smirked.

"What? Nothing to say? Don't act like it hasn't crossed your mind -I've seen you looking at her. Little Miss Innocent acts like butter wouldn't melt in her mouth, like she was too high and mighty for a good fucking, but it was always a different story when big brother was around."

Allie nodded and left the living room to get the cup of coffee. As she started the machine, she could hear Mona still talking about Josh. As much as if broke her heart, perhaps it was better if she encouraged someone else’s interest in her step-brother…maybe they would both be happier that way.

“He is a really great guy.” Allie said with a smile of fondness. “I don’t think he’s ever mentioned you before, but I haven’t really spent a lot of time with him in the past year. He moved out of the house and onto better things, I guess.”

When the coffee was finished, the poured it into a mug and turned to Mona, offering it to her. “Josh has always been a little too serious for his own good. It’s nice to know he has friends that drop by to see him.”

Carol gasped loudly as Josh swung his fist towards his father’s face. She flinched, turning her head as he pulled the punch and her husband stood there smirking. Her step-son could easily beat her husband into a bloody pulp and it wasn’t really something that she wanted to see happen.

“Josh, stop taunting him. Give him the money and let him leave.” She hissed to her husband, watching him turn his hateful gaze towards her. “I mean it. Give him the money.”

"Thank you," smiled Mona, taking the steaming cup of coffee from Allie. She looked at her again. Josh's sister really was extraordinarily pretty, with her long smooth brown hair, her delicately beautiful face and her lustrous doe eyes, somehow always shyly downcast. There was a world of gentleness, sweetness and vulnerability in those soft brown eyes. There was also something else about her -a secret smile on her cherry lips, a glow on the creamy, warm ivory of her skin and a sheen to her hair, and her eyes seemed large and heavy-lidded. She looked like a girl who had just recently woken from the most delicious dream imaginable or like a young bride stretching out on the morning after the wedding night of her fantasies.

"He is too serious. He works every single shift he can get, and after that he doesn't seem to do much except work out and sleep. I worry about him a little."

She took a sip of her coffee, her eyes brightening at the fresh, sweet taste.

"One thing I've always wondered. He talks about you, but he's never once mentioned your parents."

"Don't tell me what to do," Josh's father hissed at his wife. "You're a slut and you raised a slut. She might act like a proper little lady, but she's nothing but a dirty, cock-craving whore underneath. I can see it in her eyes."

He turned back to Josh. "Have you fucked her already? I bet you have. I bet she wasn't inside five minutes before she'd slipped her panties off and was begging you to fuck her. I bet..."

Josh's fist slammed out and his father crumpled. Josh knew how to judge his blows. Joshua Sr. would be awake in an hour with nothing but a headache. Josh turned to Carol.

"Get the money he owes Allie."

Allie laughed softly as Mona mentioned that Josh was a little too serious. It made her think about what the two of them had just shared and what a beautiful moment it had been. He had showed her a side of himself that he’d never let anyone else see before. He was caring, loving, passionate…and Allie knew that she’d never get to see that again.

She nearly choked as the conversation was steered towards their parents. Allie turned her wide eyes towards Mona and she struggled to come up with an explanation that wouldn’t embarrass Josh in front of his coworker.

“Oh…umm…Josh hasn’t ever had a good relationship with his dad. My mom is his step-mother. Things were…well, they were really rough at home. He doesn’t like to talk about it, really.” She said softly, hoping that Mona would take the explanation at that and leave things alone.

Carol gasped as Josh punched his father, the heavy set man crumpling to the floor before he turned to her and demanded that she get the money that was owed to Allie. She nodded slightly and turned, moving to get his wallet. Pulling out the money in bills, she moved into the living room and handed it to Josh.

“Now get out here, Josh.” She said, crossing her arms over her chest. “And you tell Allie that she’s not welcome here anymore either.”

Allie laughed, a silvery and musical noise, but then she looked oddly sad. There was a distant look in her wondering brown eyes that Mona couldn't make out.

When Mona asked about Josh's parents, an unmistakable flush spread across the young beauty's cheeks, and she stammered in her reply. Mona nodded tactfully. She could read the signs of a difficult upbringing in Allie's shy, soft-spoken demeanour, in the way she carried herself like a lithe and lovely fawn, elusive and lightfooted and always ready for flight. It was the reverse image of the qualities that had drew to Josh -his air of strength and self-containment, the quality of toughness both physical and mental that he projected, the feeling that he would be an unmovable rock and shelter for the people he cared about. She could imagine how deeply he cared for his sister, how he must have looked after her growing up.

She could sense that Allie was uncomfortable with the conversation so she cast about for a new one.

"Are you... seeing anyone, at the moment? I bet having a protective big brother like Josh around the place is kind of rough on your love life," she asked, with a conspiratorial little smile.

Josh took the crumpled bills and thrust them into his wallet. He nodded to Carol, giving her a hard and cool stare.

"Likewise. Tell him," he jerked his head towards his unconscious father, "Never to come near Allie or me again."

He strode out to his car and got in, then drove away. He did not look behind him once.

“Seeing anyone?” Allie murmured back, her mind churning with the thought of being with anyone but Josh. It made her feel slightly sick to her stomach, but she supposed that she had to get use to the idea.

“No. I never really had time for dating.” She said, unable to tell this woman that her stepfather would have frightened off any prospective dates. “My grades were really important, so I guess I’ve always been a bookworm.”

“Josh never really cared who I dated. He’s always been really supportive.” She ended with finally, a slightly sick feeling tickling the back of her throat as she remembered the words that he’d said to her just before he’d left the apartment that evening.

Despite himself, Josh's spirits lifted a little as he climbed the stairs to his apartment. He couldn't help but feel happier at the thought of seeing Allie's shy smile again, hearing her laugh and smelling her fresh, clean smell. He shut his eyes and steadied himself against the wall. His mind was leading him down some troublesome paths. He knew where they would end -in taking an all-too-willing Allie once again, giving her nubile, supple young body another marathon, breathtaking fucking. He could feel himself harden at the very thought.

He took a breath, got himself under control. He'd decided that it wasn't right and wasn't fair to Allie. He had to stick to that.

Josh let himself into the apartment quietly, hoping to avoid waking his stepsister, then stopped in confusion as he saw her sitting in the living room with Mona, one of the last people he'd expect to see. The two slender young beauties were talking, their heads close together.

"Oh... hi, Mona. I didn't expect... "

Allie and Mona both turned towards the door as it opened, smiles on their faces as Josh stepped into the apartment.

“Hey, Josh!” Mona replied in a cheerful tone, hopping from her spot and meeting him before he had a chance to come further into the apartment. “I was in the neighborhood and thought I’d stop by. I hope you don’t mind. I was wondering if you would like to go get a cup of coffee or something…”

She was rambling and Allie had to wince at the desperate sound in Mona’s voice. It was apparent that she liked Josh and while that broke Allie’s heart, she knew that it was best that Josh find someone that made him happy.

“Why don’t you two go out tonight?” Allie suggested, Mona’s hopeful features looking at Josh and practically holding her breath was she waited for an answer. “I hear that the theater is showing a really good independent film right now.”

There was a longing in Mona's big brown eyes that Josh found heartbreaking and a little humbling. His head was whirling -the steamy, passionate afternoon of love and animal fucking with the girl he'd always considered a sister, the confrontation with his father, and now this.

He looked at Allie. She was smiling bravely. None of the hurt she was feeling was visible -visible to anyone but Josh, who knew her better than he knew himself. Did she know what she was asking? She must have gathered that Mona and Josh had been on a couple of dates, that Mona had been interested in more. But he knew why she was suggesting it. If Josh insisted that Allie move on with her life, then she was within her rights to ask the same of him. Did he want to spend his whole life pining after his little step-sister?

He didn't reply right away.

"Allie, I went to see Dad," he said instead. She would know what that was about. "Can we talk about it in the kitchen?"

He smiled at Mona -a warm, sincere smile. "But a movie sounds really good. Just need to sort something out with little sis here."

Went to see Dad? Those words made Allie shiver with fear. Why had Josh gone to see their father after promising that they were through with the two of them? She nodded, standing from her spot at the soft and moving towards the kitchen. She was worried that Josh was going to send her back home after their afternoon together. She didn’t know if she could bare that thought.

Mona watched as Josh smiled at her sincerely. She grinned back at him, actually blushing as the object of her affection returned her sentiments. “Of course. Ummm…I’ll just go wait outside, alright?”

She didn’t want to crowd Josh and make it seem like she was too eager. She waited for Josh to step past her before she turned to step outside the apartment, waiting for Josh to finish up with Allie before the went out to their movie.

“Josh, I thought you promised that you weren’t going back home.” Allie said softly as he entered the kitchen, her eyes holding a sadness of remembering her horrible childhood, combined with the heartache that she had at seeing him with another woman.

Mona blushed to the roots of her close-cropped dark hair as Josh returned her smile, looking quite extraordinarily cute.

In the kitchen, Allie's own lovely face was touched with sadness that stabbed at Josh's heart. It made him want to reach out and comfort her, as he had thousands of times before... but then he remembered how he'd comforted her last time, remembered her lusty pants and moans as he'd taken her as a woman should be. Just the thought was making him aroused. His meek, demure stepsister turned into such an irresistible wild cat in bed.

Before his thought process could go any further, he brought out the six hundred dollars and laid it on the kitchen table.

"I know you told me to forget what happened to your phone and laptop," he told her. "But I couldn't. I went... there and I made them give it to me."

“Josh…” Allie gasped, watching as he placed the money on the kitchen table. “Josh, you didn’t have to do that for me.”

She turned her eyes towards her handsome stepbrother, nibbling on her lower lip as she took in the pride that he had in his eyes at the fact that he’d stood up to their parents for her. She gave him a shy little smile, stepping forward and wrapping him in a tight hug.

“Thank you, Josh.” She said softly, tilting her head to give him a gentle kiss on the cheek.

Her lips missed his smooth cheek, instead pressing gently against his full lips. She let out a soft little moan, her body remembering what he had done to her earlier when they had kissed like that. She pulled away from the embrace, panting slightly and another sad look took over her features.

“Josh…I can’t do this. I can’t deny what I feel for you, even if you do want me to be young and explore. I want you. Not someone else and the thought of seeing you go out with another woman tears me apart inside.” She confessed, the words rolling off her tongue before she truly thought about them.

Her eyes shining like stars, Allie leaned in to deposit a decorous kiss on Josh's cheek. It turned into a much less decorous kiss as her soft lips instead brushed his mouth and, his body responding almost instinctively, he had wrapped his arm around her slender shoulder and was kissing her with a wild, untamed passion, until she was softly moaning into his mouth.

Allie was the first to break the kiss. She backed away panting, her lips half-parted and swollen with the force of their kiss.

"Josh…I can’t do this. I can’t deny what I feel for you, even if you do want me to be young and explore. I want you. Not someone else and the thought of seeing you go out with another woman tears me apart inside."

Josh looked at her, a world of love and passion in his eyes. All of his life he'd only desired to protect and do right by his little stepsister. Now he was suddenly unsure -was what what was right what she wanted or what he thought she needed. He said nothing, the silence stretching out.

The silence stretched between them until Allie grew uncomfortable. She wanted Josh to tell her that she was right, that they shouldn’t deny what was between them, but he simply stood there staring at her. He loved her, she knew that much to be true. The look In his eyes told her that he wanted nothing more than to be with her forever but there was something stopping him.

“If your heart tells you that you need to go with Mona, then go with her tonight and have a good time.” Allie said softly, her voice quivering with the fear that he would deny them what they both wanted. “If your heart tells you that you belong with me, then send Mona away and meet me in my room.”

She stepped forward, standing on her tiptoes to kiss her handsome stepbrother again. Her lips brushed against his, her eyes imploring him to give them what they both wanted. “There is no wrong answer, Josh. Please believe me that there isn’t. The hurt that I would feel with the first one will pass with time but I would much rather have you happy.”

With that, she took the money that he’d given her and stepped from the kitchen, not looking back as she headed into her room to sit and wait.

Josh's eyes clung to Allie's retreating back. His lips still tingled where she had kissed them -so softly, so delicately and yet with such a wealth of passion promised in the touch of mouth to mouth.

His face thoughtful and sad, he went out into the hallway.

"Mona?"

Mona had been nervously pacing along the hallway as she waited for Josh to reappear. The way that he called her name made her immediately spin with a smile on her face. She had an expectant look in her eyes, searching his face for the go ahead that they would be going out that evening.

What she saw in his eyes was a sadness that seemed deep and raw. She wondered what had happened in the kitchen to turn his mood so dour. He’s going to tell me no, she thought to herself briefly, her palms turning sweaty with nerves as she steeled herself for the answer that she didn’t want to hear.

“Yeah? You ready to go?” She ventured, giving him a smile and hoping that it was enough to entice him.

Josh's heart almost broke at the imploring look in Mona's deep brown eyes but all he needed to think of was the girl waiting for him inside the apartment.

"I'm sorry, Mona," he said. "You're wonderful but... there's someone else. And she comes first in my heart."

And always has.

“Oh…” Mona said, deflating before Josh’s eyes as she was told that there was someone else. “Well…I, um, I guess it’s for the best, huh?”

She was trying to make the most out of the situation, but her heart was absolutely shattering into a million pieces. “I’ll just see you at work then.”

With that, she turned and moved to leave the apartment, wanting to get away before she burst into tears. It wasn’t surprising that a man like Josh was already taken. Whoever that woman was had to be the luckiest woman in the world.

Josh watched Mona go. She was a lovely person and a beautiful girl but he had already met his ideal -had known her for most of his life. Allie was in his blood and he could not imagine life without her.

He stood there for a little longer then quietly made his way into the apartment. He shut the door gently behind him, hoping to surprise Allie as he made his way into her bedroom.

Allie paced the length of the room, back and forth, wringing her hands in front of her as she waited to see what Josh’s decision was. She was incredibly nervous, wondering if he would walk out of the apartment and leave her all alone. She wasn’t sure what she would do if that was the decision that he had made. It would hurt…probably for a long time, but she was sure that she could find some way to get over her broken heart.

She stopped in the middle of the room and sucked in a deep breath, calming her nervous energy. She couldn’t believe that she was really waiting for her step-brother to make a decision about their relationship. Was this really happening? Could her dreams really come true?

Josh slipped into Allie's room. She stood there looking waifish and forlorn and anxious and heartrendingly beautiful, her lovely golden brown eyes turned down to regard the floor. He took a moment to look at the room, smiling as he remembered how he wanted the perfect room for her. Then he crossed the room in three long strides.

He grabbed his stepsister by the slender waist and pulled her into a close, warm hug.

"I'm back," he murmured.

Allie gasped as she felt two strong arms wrap around her waist, pulling her into a warm embrace that was so incredibly familiar she didn’t even need to hear the voice of her step-brother to know it was him. Thank God, she thought to herself as she turned in his embrace and wrapped her arms around his body.

“Oh, Josh.” She murmured, pulling him in for a passionate kiss. The moment that her lips met his, she knew that she’d made the right choice. She belonged with Josh, just as they had always imagined.

Allie's lips greedily sought out his. Their kiss was hot and juicy, and it only mounted in passion as Josh's hands went to his stepsister's sweetly rounded bottom and clasped it, pulling her forcefully to him and letting her feel the arousal of his huge, stiff cock, letting her squirm and wriggle delightedly against it.

He broke the kiss for a moment, letting Allie bury her head in his chest. The sheer force of their attraction to each other was almost frightening. It was as if all of their life together a vast, unbreakable love and lust was gradually building up between them. Then, just today, a switch had been flipped and they had been helpless to resist the flood. He thought of Allie writhing in the throes of passion, of the panted obscene things that slipped out between his sweetly demure stepsister's lips as he took her to the height of ecstasy and beyond.

A low, husky growl came from deep in Josh's throat and his grip tightened on Allie's delicious derriere, pressing her lithe young body against him.

"Never again," he told her, and he meant it. "I'm never going to try and leave you again. This is how we were meant to be, and I don't care what anyone thinks about it."
