Henna

Did you try googling 'henna' and 'make henna'?

I did, and it looks like there are TONS of resources with step-by-step instructions, pictures and everything else you'd likely need. I'd suggest reading through them, and then coming back with specific questions, should you have any, so people here don't have to write out info that's already out there in a very clear format.

I frequently get henna tattoos, it is common here among belly dancing students. Our school has an annual henna party, as do other vendors. I would go to a henna artist first to watch and see if you like them. They take some doing and afterwards you must wear the henna undisturbed for at least 6 hrs. I cover mine with elastic band-aid tubes and sleep over night in them.

Henna artists can often be found art fairs, and cultural events around here. I am not good at drawing the henna on myself but a kit that I have used with others drawing it on is called earth henna body painting kit. I can get it at the local food coops.
Mixing your own is an art within itself. Don't use black henna, it is considered dangerous. Earth Jagua Black look like black henna but it really isn't.

I hope that helps.

Replying only to point out my avatar. :D I just thought it was cool. I've never done it myself.
