I remember I had just tuned 18, in between school and uni and broke. It was summer and very hot, I thought I would go roung the neighbours asking if they had any jobs they needed doing.
I tried four or five with out any success, then I arrived at Joans house.
I had known Joan all my life and although not a friend of the family she was well liked.
I arrived at her door dressed in a t-shirt, shorts and trainers, I knocked on her door and she opened it dresed in a white blouse and flowery skirt. I explained that I was looking for work and she said that she had a couple of large plant pots in the garden that she needed moving.
