My "significant other" is catching on as I while away the hours typing away at the keyboard. Lucklily she is ignorant of what I do. At some point in time she will learn. I am thinking of "accidentally" leaving a printed copy of my next sub where she will "discover" it.

Has anyone gone through this? And the results?

Tell her now, and tell her how much you enjoy it. Make it something that she can share and take pleasure in.

Hiding it will turn it into competition. If you can make it something she likes as well, she's less likely to complain about the lost time.

Write a personal story especially for her. Make her your star, and include a hot button of hers in the story, something you know turns her on. Tell her how turned on you were while writing it for her. She'll probably be flattered, hopefully turned on, and may encourage you to write more smut.

I've never really tried to hide that I write "dirty stories" from anyone -- I don't discuss it with my-sister-the-prude, but I wouldn't deny it if she found out.

My children, my mother, and most of my friends know I write erotica and where to find it. I don't wear a sign around my neck reading "Porn Author" or have it tattoed on my forehead, but I'm NOT ashamed in any way about what I write.

I'd suggest you ask her to proofread your work for you. Get her involved, or at least offer to let her be involved.

My daugters have both refused to proofread for me, but I can see their point about not wanting to know just what Dad fantasizes about.

I broke it to my significant other by writing a story for her on Valentine's day.

She classified at as better than the 'Chocolate of the Month for a Year' V-day gift.

She became my best editor after that.

I've Hinted

She knows that I am a volunteer editor for a "site". When she asks what I'm doing I say editing or answering a question. She's the suspicious type and has repeatedly sent me off on "errands" and I suspect has checked out what was on the screen in my absence to assure herself it's not "visual" porn.
