Now I have watched several video's and read several threads, none of which makes any sense.
When I do a story I use a first sentence indent of 1/2 inch because every paragraph needs that. When I start with a quote you need to have it indented 10 spaces. I thought I could just add a left tab stop and it would go there.
Here is what happens When I put a left tab at the one inch mark: I have my first sentence indent, I hit tab one time and nothing happens and I hit it again and it goes to the 1.5 inch mark where there is no tab stop and it went 1/2 inch past the tab spot and 1/2 inch before the tab stop. I should just hit tab one time and it would go to the next tab stop..
many of the videos say you need to tell word how to format each paragraph. My story is 60 pages long I would have to add 20 more pages just to tell word how to format my story.
