Ok, so I got this phone, and while I love it, I am having an issue with the photo gallery.
A folder has appeared, called 'Instant Upload'. I have deleted this folder.
I have deleted all the pics in this folder, many times.
But when I turn the phone on again, there it is again!
I can't delete either the folder, or the pictures, permanently???
At first I thought it was connecting to other equipment via bluetooth, so I turned everything except the phone off (and I turned bluetooth off on the phone as well.)
WiFi is also off. Kies has not been activated.
Then I deleted the pictures again, and used Advanced Task Killer to close the gallery app.
But - when I opened the gallery, there were all the photos again??!!
WTF?
How do I delete these pics permanently?
Help!!!

Tried the first 2 suggestions - didn't work.
Downloading Picassa Tool now to see if that works.

Fuck me!
How difficult is this supposed to be??!!!!
I may have no choice but to take the phone, with all the naughty pics it has mined from everywhere else, and go back to the dealer, and get them to do it for me :eek::eek:
My tits and ass are going to be shown to the real world, not just you lot.

Wow. I would be losing my mind tight now.

When you click on "settings" on your phone, does it have something for instant upload? If so, turn it off, then delete the folder.

Also, you're in good company.

I have taken a deeeeeeeeeep breath, and put the phone down.
I have no choice but to go back to the dealer.
Because for the life of me, I cannot permanently de-fucking-lete that bloody album!
Screeeeeeeaaaaammmm!

Ok, I'm feeling better-ish.

Do you have a gmail account and is that account currently logged in on your phone?

If yes, log out of gmail then proceed to delete said pics. Reboot your phone and see if they re-appear.

If no, then it would lead me to believe that gmail is automatically syncing to the instant upload folder. While this won't solve your issue, you'll at least be able to take it back without suffering undue embarrassment.

Quick question, but an important one. Are the photos still there or are the thumbnails just showing up in the gallery? If it is just the thumbnails, go into your application settings, and clear the data and cache from the gallery.

Yes. The phone tells me I need to have it logged in for functions to operate.
But - I do not have it set to 'auto sync'.
And there is no setting for me to log out. I would have to reset the phone to factory settings, and then I would need to put gmail back on anyway.

In that case, delete the pics, remove gmail and reset to factory settings. If they don't re-appear, see my previous post, which has been revised.

Finally!
But I have absolutely no idea how I managed to do this.
But I'm glad I have - there were some pretty racey pix on there!

Fuck, they don't like to give a lot of info on their site.
Can you turn off All Share and then delete pics?

You know the little User Guide you normally get with a phone?
This one is the size of 2 matchboxes, and has 8 pages (the last 4 of which are about the safety specs!)
Apparently, I have to go to the online guide.
The online guide is useless for a tech-dummy like me
I'm a fiddler... I have to play with it for a while to understand how it all works.

Yay! No worries though, you could have just mailed me your phone, I'd have gotten them off of there somehow.

lol - I'm sure you would have!
I have now deleted all the pics from my laptop, my tablet, and my phone(s).
I can't risk having such things finding their way to my phone
I know my laptop and tablet are secure from my kids, but sometimes they borrow my phone
