I found that www.collarfactory.com is a good site. They allow you to customize your collar however you like and the prices are not that bad either.

These are under $200 but I have not personally seen/worn them. They look gorgeous on the web site though. Good Luck.

I've had one of their screw on collars on for 3 years straight now and I love it. Very much worth the money and is very discreet.

What I did for daily use was to buy two feet of very heavy sterling chain, and a nice, small padlock for it, usually worn in back where it was hidden by hair. I bought mine from a local jewelry supply shop, but it can be found in a number of places on the Internet. Well under $50 at the time, but not bad looking, and strong enough to be quite functional.

When I was with my boy, I went to the local flea market and had a leather collar made for about $15. If you find the right place, you can have it stamped as well (with name, a certain word, etc.). If you're looking for a metal collar, I would go with the suggestion of the heavy sterling chain, just because it is discreet enough for daily wear. The boy also had a chain mail collar that he would wear when we dressed up, but that was one I allowed him to pick out. He kept it when we ended things, and I kept the leather.

I see it as an investment. Before we got that collar, we tried 2 others and spent around $50-90 on each one. Both ended up tarnishing and irritating my skin, which would not work as it was meant to be worn 24/7, not just an occasional thing. We ended up paying more for collars that didn't work out than we did on this one, and it has been on my like I said for over 3 years now with no problems and still looks as good as the day I bought it.

i have a collar and wrist cuffs (which are just matching cat cuffs from pet's smart) which are pink and sparkly and very pretty. Daddy keeps them for me when we are not together but i am still His even when i am not wear them
