Okay gang help me out here. I'm working on my first erotic story and I'm just having trouble coming up with good synonyms for genitals, male and female. Actually this isn't a new problem. My friends and I have been trying to come up with an agreed upon list of terms we like for YEARS now. So I figured who better to ask than you guys!

Yes, I'm in the same boat. Even the slang thesaurus was of no help. So many phrases or words sound silly at best...offensive at worst. I guess I'll just have to look at restructuring some phrasing. I mean there are only so many 'cocks' you can look at before it gets repetitive.

While my list isn't nearly as impressive as Mickie's, I have a few synonyms I use:

cock
dick
length (Her fingers caressed his length.)
penis
phallus
prick
rod
sex (She absorbed the sight of his thick, pulsing sex.)

Not all of these are interchangable. I'd probably not ever have the heroine think of it as a dick, unless she was a coarser sort of woman.

Sometimes you don't need a noun at all. For instance,

He shuddered as she lowered her head and her lips engulfed him with their wet warmth.

You can also just refer to a part of the penis, i.e., the head, the shaft, the base.
