Help needed re. Posting Pics

I am only recently online and do not know how to lift and post pictures. I was hoping to 'happen across' an explanation somewhere but that has not happened.

This looks like the place to ask. Can someone explain or direct me to an appropriate source?

Are you meaning how to insert an image into a post?

Yes basicly.

I would to put up an avatar and be able to post a picture in a post. That would be good enough.
