Actually... I noticed with my flight, that carry-ons are huge! I took a tiny bag with me and forced myself to only take a few things, leaving my lovely shoe collection at home. I saw the size of those carry-ons and was pissed! I could have entertained in stilettos!

No you'd have to stow the boy toy in with the frieght...But a good one wouldn't complain about that
Besides, he could always get a first class ticket and then trade seats with you...
