"Help me kill Liberals in their sleep!" - Deplorable arrested for threats

Are 50 caliber rounds even legal to possess? Isn't that the ammo they use in the big tripod-mounted machine guns?

Not illegal and probably not the same round.

But when you start cleaning out a stores inventory...

Buying a few hundred rounds of .223 or 5.56mm not much attention.

A few thousand rounds and ...

.50 BMG is illegal here in Ca to possess. Apparently our legislators were concerned that someone could reach out and touch them from a mile away so they wrote a law banning that specific caliber - .50 BMG. Which is fine, there's always .50 Beowolf and a few others.

Barrett got so pissed at what the legislators did, he has refused to service or sell rifles/parts to any California law enforcement department ever since. Apparently the State DOJ had more than a few which are now inop because they need parts/serviced. Other law enforcement depts are in the same boat - lots of very expensive paperweights.

As for cleaning out a store's inventory, many people buy ammo in bulk lots per caliber. Nothing wrong with that. Nor does it indicate any criminal endeavor or plan.

It is only the ill informed and/or self delusioned who believe otherwise.

Wait, just how easy is it to obtain an M2? And is the army still fielding that design?

*Googles*

Dang, shows what little I know. I guess you can’t keep a good design down.

I don't see the M2 being replaced any time soon. They did do some upgrades, like fixing the barrel instillation so you don't have to head space it every time you put on a new one, but the basic design is the same as it's always been. So far they haven't been able to come up with a heavy machine gun design that's better.

There isn't another cartridge that can do the same as the .50 Browning. The .50 Beowolf and 458 SOCOM are relatively slow straight cased, close range rounds. Below is a link to a chart showing the trajectory for both. After 200 yards both of them drop like a stone. At 500 yards the best 458 and .50 Beowolf drop 200".

they are both devastating at close range. A 300-350 grain slug moving at 1800 to 2000 fps can blow a huge hole in things.

There is no other cartridge in the world that can come close to the muzzle energy, range and accuracy of the .50 Browning.

God bless America! Land of the free and the home of the brave. What a shithole! The sooner it does a North Korea (goes totally isolationist) the better.

Depends on the state, they are hard to come by but it's not any harder than any other full auto.

Get your paperwork in order and go have a sit down with the ATF, badda bing badda bang in three to five round bursts.

So you fuckers are finally starting to drive people crazy.

It was only a matter of time.

I worry about the ones that are not a chatty Cathy!

Buying all that stuff should have sent up a flare!

Yeah, it’s rough having the White House, Senate and Congress. :rose:

There are other more likely .50 cal weapons than the M2. I doubt he had an M2. More like a .50 cal Desert Eagle pistol.

Actually, it probably does, if it is more ammo than one would need for a hunting trip.

WHITE GUN STORE OWNER AT THE CASHIER TO WHITE GUY CUSTOMER BUYING BULK AMMO: "Howdy, Jeb! Rabbit season again, eh? You go on and have some good shootin' there, ol' buddy! And watch out for those vicious March hares!" *slides credit card through reader without hesitation while punching Jeb playfully in the shoulder*

WHITE GUN STORE OWNER AT THE CASHIER TO BLACK GUY CUSTOMER BUYING BULK AMMO: "Whoa, whoa WHOA there, Jamaal al Jackson! Gonna have to put the kibosh on your little Neo Black Panther revolution while I check up with state authorities on this here transaction o' yours! Just wait over there in the corner for a minute!" *keeps credit card and calls state police while searching through criminal database*

I buy ammo in 5K bulk lots. So do a lot of people I know. Why? Because you can burn 1000 rounds at the range in a long lazy afternoon. And still have time for BBQ afterward with your friends.

Buying ammo in quantity doesn't mean anything except you get a halfassed price break.

Just wondering, Rory, are you outraged over the guy arrested for threats against Trump and the GOP, or do only blue lives matter?

Don't bother answering, we all know what the answer is

Only democrat lives matter only women from the left are victims who should be believed blah blah blah.

Ever stop and think that the appalling hypocrisy of the liberals is a big part of what led to the d-bag GOP gaining power?

Course not, it would take independent thought and not lemming mob mentality to think of something like that.

well we are talking about people who blame the gun and express no outrage whatsoever against the person using the gun so self delusion is a big factor here

Oh, wait if the killer has right political ties they are outraged, but teens gunning down teens isn't the issue, only the gun. You need to get your leftist hypocrisy manual out when it comes to these things.

This reminds me of something I saw quoted once:

When a white guy shoots someone, it's the gun's fault. When a cop shoots someone with the same kind of gun, it's the cop's fault.

You have a very sick notion of how to spend a lazy afternoon.

I read once how a Southern sheriff in the early 1970s explained his department's policy: "If a nigger kills a white man, that's murder. If a white man kills a nigger, that's justifiable homicide. If a nigger kills another nigger, that's one less nigger."

Actually, it probably does, if it is more ammo than one would need for a hunting trip.

Hunting isn't the only reason you would need ammo and yes it's ok to take more than one round.

I prefer belt-fed hunting because fun.

You have a very sick notion of how to spend a lazy afternoon.

What's is sick about shooting for recreation/practice?

Funny.....I've lived in the south for almost 20 years of my life and the only people I've heard talk like that were all from New England.

Boston/Philly/NYC/Jerzy.....most blatantly racist area of the country, hands down.
