Help me, Im stupid

Been here for a bit now....lots of posting...but two things I still cant figure out....

First off, is how to get links to appear in the signature part of your post?? When you put text in your signature (when you go to options)...there doesnt seem to be anything that allows you to turn that text into links...yet I see people do it all the time....

i.e. My First Story

You would click it and be brought to their story...it appears in their signature so its always there....I havent figured out how to do this yet.

And secondly....how do we get those little signature pics on the left side of the post?? Do we need a certain amount of posts before we can use them? When I tried to put one...it gave me a choice to choose from....but there was nothing there to choose...lol
