I'm not very computer literate, and need some suggestion on burning DVDs. I download lots of old grand prix racing footage and need help on how to put it on a DVD I can watch on my DVD player hooked to my TV. I put multiple races on each DVD but only the first one shows up when I play it back on my player. They are all there when I use my computer's player.
They are all the same format usually avi or Divx.
I have Nero software and I'm using DVD+R discs. I've tried DVD-R discs but see no difference.
My player is pretty new and plays all region dvds including PAL and others from overseas. I have ordered DVDs other guys have made and all the videos show up.
Why am I only seeing the first thing on the DVD I make and not the others?

I'm not overly knowledgeable about burning DVDs but a friend had similar problems with his music. After talking with him I mentioned he needed to create a playlist to burn as a whole. He had been wanting to do a pick and choose from his library and each time it said ''insert a new disk''. When he tried the playlist thing it worked. Offered as "for what it's worth."

I'm not sure exactly how you're doing it and I'm not sure I can offer the best advice, but I'll tell you what I did last week to put 3 different sections of home movies directly to dvd.

Open nero and tell it you want to create dvd from your own videos.

add the video files you want to use.

click next, then from drop down menu on right hand side select title menu's only.

click burn...

that is all I do...there may be options that I have set differently somewhere within the program such as to finalize the disk. I would look for something like that if I were you, because typically if you don't finalize a disk when it is wrote (generally done automatically within the program) it will either not play at all, or only play the first OR the last section depending on the system it is being played on...

Hope I made at least a little sense and didn't waste anyones time... :)

Thanks for the replys. I think what I was doing was along the lines of what Cathleen was talking about. I was trying to add clips onto discs I had already burned. I found that I need to decide what videos I wanted and then burn them all at the same time. If that makes any sense....I guess what it comes down to is once you've burned something on a disc you can't add anymore later.

I really helped? Hot damn! I'm very glad (and surprised). : )

When burning the first thing on the disk you need to choose the option to add other items to the disk at a later date, or the disk will burn and only have the first item available.

Otherwise as others have said pick all the thing syou need before you start to burn it.
