Help a Newbie decipher Codes

Hi. New to Lit and have been trying to figure out codes used in titles, threads, personals, etc.
Some are well-known and obvious but others are more obscure. The list is too long and I don't remember them anyway.
Is there a cheat-sheet or list that contains definitions somewhere?

Do you mean things like TBP (the person below) and things like that?

Yes, things like that.
I now know what kik is, and dp, but not a lot more.

Like and language that uses abreviations, most of them are contextually defined. So what may mean one thing in a forum, may be a different thing somewhere else. So try to read them and look at the thread title and review where else they get used in a thread. That usually provides enough clues to decipher the codex otherwise bring them here. The smart asses among us may have a little fun with you, but we'll generally try to be helpful

As a newbie, I agree that it gives me pause figuring them all out. Some people here apparently have thousands of posts and these abbreviations are second nature, so I will ask in advance for forbearance if I don't get something.

*whispers* I've been here for a while and there are still some that I haven't figured out. Just do what I do: bluff it out with a pleasant smile and a nod.

*whispers to self* Come to think of it, that's what I do in a lot of situations.
