Hello Portland

i.e. - the white house narrative is shit

Unfortunately, national portrayals often distort reality. Portland is 145 square miles, yet one city block has drawn outsized attention in news cycles. Viral clips — sometimes months or years old — paint a picture that is not consistent with the Portland we see every day," Day wrote. "While this is frustrating, we are focused on what matters: keeping Portlanders safe.

They're rounding up more and more every night with more and more money trails to follow. It's an intelligence bonanza.

Hell yeah!
I never thought the republican gestapo would ever solve this but it appears you’re finally going to catch that slippery Jew Soros!

Military troops are there only to provide security for federal law enforcement and federal assets while ICE remove criminal illegal migrants. Troops aren’t there to fix Portland.

As far as you justifying calling the president a Fascist, a Nazis and other hateful names doesn’t surprise me. You should be ashamed. More people will die and your left fringe of your party will continue to have blood on their hands. Have a great day.
Rose colored lenses tend to change the impressions of things when you don't apply some common sense to what is being said versus what is actually taking place there. CNN notes:

“It’s anarchy out there,” Trump said last week in the Oval Office, days before announcing the federalization of 200 members of the Oregon National Guard for a period of 60 days.

The president is citing daily protests outside the city’s Immigration and Customs Enforcement facility to justify the latest of his troop callups in a major city with a Democratic-led government.

“The Radical Left’s reign of terror in Portland ends now,” the White House said in a news release Tuesday announcing the deployment of federal troops to the Pacific Northwest city.

The Trump administration indicated it was sending in additional resources to “crush violent radical left terrorism.”

~~~
Tonight's news showed that the 'violent terrorism' was from people in costumes and holding up protest signs outside the ICE building. There were more ICE and guards outside than the dozen protestors, creating 'a reign of terror.'
Trump, well, he is batshit crazy on this issue, again.
when i was 12, i made a website for my d&d guild.
When I was 12 the only websites were in the barn and occupied by various kinds of spiders. Cars had vacuum wipers and starters were on the floorboard. Chokes were controlled by a push/pull knob on the dash. Micro chips were those small pieces in the bottom of a bag of potato chips. Milk came in bottles not cartons. Flour was sold in sacks that had dress patterns on them.
I saw my first glimpse of a computer in grad school. It had punch cards. I didn't use them, just had a tour of the monster with vacuum tubes in the basement behind glass walls.
What's a D&d guild? Something like a ladies quilting party?
Irrelevant. Are our cities full of drugs, crime, murder and homelessness or not? Do we try to do something about it or let them deteriorate beyond salvation like Detroit? :)
Duh. I'd say relevant. Trump shouldn't be around children at all. No sane parent should want to have their kids in the same room with him. You are okay with sending kids to spend time with a convicted felon?
Are you nuts? [Rhetorical question.]
If you interfere with a sworn officer in the performance of their duties you aren't a protestor, you're a criminal.
If you damage property, public or private, you aren't a protestor, you're a criminal.
If you interfere with a citizen who is merely going about their business, you aren't a protestor, you're a criminal.
If you resist detention or arrest you aren't a protestor, you're a criminal.
So January 6th was 100% a criminal act.
Thank you for your clarification.
Who has said it wasn't?
I don't know.
I was just thanking you for straightening that out for everyone.
Oh, wait a minute I found someone who said...
"The J6 hostages, I call them. Nobody has been treated ever in history so badly as those people nobody's ever been treated in our country,"
Jailing those who broke into the Capitol that day, he said, is "one of the saddest things in the history of our country."
Which kind of sounds like he has doubts about it being a criminal act, though admittedly it is hard to tell as the second sentence is gibberish.
