Yes certainly return. Writing a story isn't as hard as most people think, just write what you would like to have happen to you for a first story. The hard part is then editing it down from the size of a tome to something they will accept here.

The story cannot be less than 750 words. That's all.

F&I, in order to get the first one my advice is to just write!!and write, then write, next write for a little bit and finally write. Now read it.

Then go back and see what you did that puzzles you.. Fix the things that need to be fixed. That is called editing. Now read it again. Change what you don't like.

If you have something that pleases you, submit. If you want help, don't be afraid to ask.
