Hello all! Thanks for clicking, and ring willing to listen to the prattling of a clueless newbie. I just submitted my first work (my short prologue to a series, actually), and thought I should get to know the community, and see if anyone has any tips for me.

Me? I'm a 22 year old college girl, who likes writing in her spare time. Erotica is new to me, but something I enjoy reading and have so far enjoyed writing! As for names... Well, call me Cassandra, or Cas, for short. Never Cassie, I've always loathed that. Pet peeve, I suppose.

Anyways, back on topic: I'm currently interested in writing Nonhuman stories. Any advice would be appreciated! Nonhuman was the first real erotica genre I got into, something about it excites me, I suppose. My series is going to be around angels, if it's accepted. Not the holy, religious, ruled-by-God type, mind you. More of a seperate species, really.

Just thought I'd introduce myself and get my feet wet! Any tips or advice is appreciated, just in the basic writing of good erotica. I fancy myself a decent writer, though this is new territory for me...

If you're still here, I'm terribly sorry to have bored you this long,
DivineDestiny A.K.A Cassandra

Welcome to the AH! I wish you luck with your first story and remember when it posts there is a feedback forum where you can post the link and ask for opinions.

Afraid I can offer you no advice on the NH category. I'm not into it and as for Angels?

Let's just say I play for the other team;)

Enjoy your time here.

Welcome!

Sounds like a story I submitted for the first FAWC contest last June that involved a woman who was both an angel and succubus, depending on what lore you followed. She was was a member of a species that made sure everything in the world went according to "the plan".

One of the nice things about Lit is that generally people are very accepting of Non-Human stories.

Feel free to check out some of my stories if you like since I use a lot of Non-Human themes in my New Life series (lycans, half-lycans, demons, and dragonesses).

I wish you the best of luck on your writing venture and looking forward to seeing your work.

Thank you very much :)
I'm very much looking forward to getting my story approved, hopefully! I've already fallen in love with the world, if the series gets a good reception then I might have to write a spin-off... Vampires maybe...

Speaking of which, from my browsing, vampires are rather popular in the Nonhuman category! I guess I can see why, though drinking blood I find just a tiny bit discerning... But, hey, if it leaves you with a high like when you donate blood, I'd stick my neck out for a vampire!

Probably the dark, seductive properties of vampires. Especially since vamps are becoming a bigger part of popular culture (True Blood, *groan* Twilight).

Succube are my personal favorite. ;)

Ooh, the few incubi/succubi stories I've read have been delightful! I think my werewolf phase is over... Onto demons!

I can't quite put my finger on why I tend to like demon-type stories. Maybe it's because there's no limits with demons, seeing as they're sin personified. Pretty sure I've found a new addiction! *will be staying up till four in the morning reading*

Welcome to the nuthouse. Be sure and keep all fingers and toes inside the ride at all times. Them there trolls bite.

Everyone must be 18 is the first rule. No bestiality is probably number two but then again were kind of sidesteps that.

I did a three part angel story. You can check it out here: Daisy Ch 01

Use the 01 instead of 1. If you don't and go over 10 chapters it screws with the numbering in the lists.

Enjoy your time here.

Hubby had the privilege of taking the 8 y/o Cub Scout to "God and Me" class tonight. 5 classes- mandatory to get his Bear patch.

The instruction sheet for next week said to have a parent teach you the lord's prayer and don't forget your bible.

The poor kid is probably the only one there that's never been in a church before. And I am NOT buying a bible.

Nice meeting you, Cas. :)

@A_Little_Show
Good to know... I was on another site previous and never even posted anything because I was eaten alive in the forums for trying to say hello!

@TxRad
Thanks for the advice on the numbering! I never would have considered that! I'll also definitely be reading your series ;)

@patientlee
Yuck! That seems silly that it's mandatory. Poor kiddo. Even at that age I would be annoyed about that. For my 18th birthday my wonderful grandparents bought me a bible even though they know I'm an agnostic atheist. I do think they'd have a heart attack if they knew I was writing erotica for fun xD

It's nice meeting all of you!

Waiting to see if she notice when she loses her virginity. :D

Hahahahaha!
I was so confused when I saw that title. My basic reaction was confusion and then amusement... Oh virginity, you shall be lost once more. Good riddance! :D

Couldn't you just make 8YO a Bear patch. I'm sure that real bears don't have to go through such religious nonsense. And if you are ever tempted to buy a bible, make sure that it is an original King James version; some of the writing is very, very good, even if the subject matter is pure fantasy.

For that you are going straight to Hell later of course - just so that you know. But that's not so bad. Where better to gather inspiration for more non-human stories?

You might consider putting a link to your stories in your sig though. That way your posts on the message board will double as marketing for your work and thus allow you to lead even more innocent souls down the unholy path of eternal damnation.

;)

Welcome to the fun house.

How about I call you DeeDee.(DivineDestiny) that I know I can remember. :D

Angels. Hum, research Seraph they are divine fire spirits from the Hebrew side of the book.

http://en.wikipedia.org/wiki/Seraph

They're kind of not entirely good. I remember also reading somewhere that there is stories of them coming to earth after the Garden of Eden and mating with the sons and daughters of Adam.

The wicked people destroyed in Noah's flood were half seraphs in those tales.

Like LC not really my thing but a good story subject if done right.

Again Welcome

I recommend ManyEyedHydra's succubus stories - fun seeing how many different things he can do with the one theme.

Or if you've got money to burn, get the Wicked Bible.

Hi

I'm a fellow newbie! :) My first submission was a prologue in the NH category too (mine was Druid based) and this is my first ever post in the forums. *gasp*I am going to bookmark your work to read later. The angel concept sounds different from what I have seen before on the site, usually angels are part of the supporting cast and not main characters. I'm thinking you're going more in the direction of Constantine (Keanau Reeves anyone?) which sounds fantastic.

I'm not even done with my first series yet and already thinking about the next one. I'm leaning towards doing a Norse NH series. I can't decide if I shall make Loki really bad or just mischievous...

This is new territory for me too but so far I love it! I am considering self publishing on Amazon if this first work goes well. So far the feedback has been good although 4 comments out of 1200+ views is a little bit of a letdown. I wish more people would leave verbal feedback, and I plan to leave you some verbal feedback too since i'm assuming you like it also. Nice to meet you!

Nephilim? The "... offspring of the sons of God and the daughters of men..."?

I'm pretty sure he has to earn and pay for the official Bear patch from the Boy Scouts of America in order to be a Weeblo. I don't like the BSA organization, but it's a good activity for hubby and sons.

There will be no bible purchased. I have no doubt that my auditory learner could learn the prayer, but he is also memorizing times tables. I resent the time it would take away from the math.

I won't buck the system. It's not like he HAS to be a scout. He just really likes to.

Thanks for all the feed back and ideas... Me thinks I'll have to use all of them xD

I suppose I can't go to Hell since I'm already there. These roomates were created by Lucifer himself to torture me, I swear. Everytime I walk in the place is a mess, they're eating my food, or, like last night, I come back to see one of them having *ahem* "fun" with her boyfriend in MY bed. And the reasoning behind that? "My bed was dirty!"

Well now mine is saturated with STDs. Thanks. I wish I could change rooms... Anyone volunteer for a part time share of eternal torment?

You my dear have been gifted with plot bunnies. (Just, ya' know don't actually use those two in your bed if you don't want to, but that scenario could make for a hawt story).

And welcome to the AH. :)
